And now if you want to stick around for the delivery story stay tuned....
On Thursday July 28th I was feeling rather uncomfortable and oh so ready for this little guy to get here.  I had been having contractions off and on for a couple days and new that D-day was approaching. All my boys made an appearance in the World right around 39 weeks. And I was already 38 weeks and 4 days along. Thursday night we went to Family Swim at the community pool around 6:30pm. I had been talking with some friends which noticed I seemed a little uncomfortable and I had been having contractions. Thinking nothing of it since I had been off and on. We went home got the boys ready for bed and then went to bed myself at 9:30 completely exhausted and still having contractions off and on. Well I didn't sleep at all every time I dosed off I awoke to a contraction and having to pee. I found it rather annoying.  Come 11:45pm things were not letting up and I had the thought " duh your in labor!!" So I awoke Scottie and told I think I am in labor. So he got up and called his brother to come stay at our house with are 2 youngest boys. The 2 older boys were up North visiting my parents with Scott's parents. So we needed someone to come over so we could drive 3 hours to the hospital in Tucson. Luckily he was still awake from getting off work and was able to come over and crash on our couch until the morning when he was leaving to head to out of town to pick up his Wife. So Sarah got the boys up that morning and they went over to our friends houses for the day until Scott's parents could get back into town with our other two boys to babysit. OK back to the labor part. So we load up and make the drive to Tucson. My contractions were about 10min apart but they were not that painful so I pretty much slept off and on the entire drive. We got to the hospital and admitted around 3am. They checked me and I was at 4cm and 90% effaced, I was grateful to hear that because I was afraid they would send me home with false labor. NOPE not the case. We were checked in and  taken to a delivery room. Because I had a emergency c-section with Dillon and I was going for a natural delivery with Alvin. They were not going to give me any pitocine since it could cause my uterus to rupture since I already had a c-section. But they broke my water which usually with in a hour the baby is born. However that was not the case. Since the baby was sitting high up inside of me and facing to the left. Because of this they were expecting a longer labor until we could get him to drop down. Come 12:30 pm on Friday the Dr. checked me and I was at 8cm. I figured it was going to be a while longer thanks to his positioning so I decided why not try and epideral and enjoy myself a little. After all this was my last delivery and so far it was going great just really long and my back was starting to hurt thanks to back labor and front labor. Around 1pm they brought in the wonderful epideral man who fixed me up nicely resulting in the feeling that I had elephant legs. I had a huge contraction and felt the baby completely flip around inside of me.  About 20min later I was texting a friend asking  who had just asked me if I had the baby yet. When I felt extreme pressure. So I called the nurse in who had stepped out for a minute. She checked me and sure enough Alvin was making his way out on his own. She told me not to push while she ran and grabbed the Dr. before he went into surgery. He came in put the gloves on turned to me said push. 2 small pushes later and 17 hours of labor Alvin was born at 1:54pm.  He had the cord wrapped around his neck and was really blue when he was born and besides being really jittery from going with out food for so long he was perfectly healthy. Once he started nursing he was happy and has been sleeping, and eating great ever since. We are so grateful he has joined our family he gets plenty of love from his brothers and mom and dad. He makes our family feel complete! I just LOVE having a house full of BOYS!!

Stack them up, Pile them Up, Way up!

Image
Scott and I were trying to decide how we were going to fit 5 Boys into a 3 bedroom house. After some thinking we found the solution "The Triple Bunk Bed!" We had seen these online and saw how expensive they were. And at first we were crossing that plan out. So I asked Scott one day if he thought he could make a set for the 3 youngest boys. At first he wasn't so sure he had the carpenter skills inside of him. But with a little research we found a set of plans online that we were able to look over and download. And so the project began. Start to finish it took us about a week, but only because we had ordered some hardware that we were waiting to come in the mail.

Image
1st We went to Lowe's and picked up all the wood we would need for our fun new project!2nd we measured and cut the wood into the proper sizes. 3rd we sanded the wood to make it smooth so the little guys wouldn't' get any splinters. 4th we stained the wood, 5th we drilled holes and put it together.

Camping and Easter Fun

We went to Bear Canyon Lake for the weekend with our friends Brad and Darcy Ellis, and Aubrey Harper and her two girls. We had a Great time eating lots of yummy food from dutch oven cooking, Tin foil breakfasts, baked apples, banana boats and of course S more's! The boys even had snow ball fights with Charlee and Baylee.Everyone did some Hiking and  fishing and caught lots of Rain Bow Trout. Which was also cooked up and ate. Of course I had to refrain from the eating of the fish..I am NOT a fan of the swimming creatures. We also had  an Easter Egg hunt for my Boys. The weather was a bit windy and chilly at night but we kept warm with HUGE Fires and lot's of Hot Chocolate, and Hot Cider, and can't forget HOT Tang. Even though we had a wonderful time I just have to say that nothing beats sleeping in your own bed and a nice HOT Shower!! Here are a few pictures from our trip..I am hoping to get some more from our friends that I may post at a later date.(Pictures did not post in order)

The boys went back fishing again in the afternoon while I stayed behind with the 2 little one's and took a nap. Quade caught the Rain Bow Trout all by himself. They caught lots of fish the next day with our friends but Quade's fish was the biggest one out of them all.

Baby # 5 is a ...........

Another BOY!  We have our basketball team!! We are so excited. Just thinking about having all boys makes me giggle inside. I never thought that I would have 5 kids for one thing, and then to top it off with them all being boys, but I wouldn't trade any of them for the World and I am looking forward to the adventures that lay ahead. The lady who was doing my sonogram could not believe it either. She said " Wow 5 BOYS!" She even went back and checked a few times to make sure and the last time she did he opened his legs nice and wide as if to say "enough already I am a BOY!" lol Now we get to play the name game. Any suggestion?

Another Moore is on the Way...

Well for those of you who have not heard. We are pleased to announce that Baby Moore #5  will be making an appearance the 1st week of August 2011. Say What!? Yes it is true and we are just as surprised as everyone else. Those of you who know my husband Scottie were probably aware that he swore up and down that our little family was complete with the arrival of Dillon our 4th son. He had his 4 boys, and he was happy, and content with moving on to the next phase of our lives. Me on the other hand I had a hard time grasping this idea he had. He told me that I was just so use to having babies and taking care of them for the past 7years that of course it would be difficult for me. But that I needed to get past that for we were FINISHED! I really wanted to feel this way as well to look forward to what comes next to have my body back as my own again and not feel like a brood mare or dairy cow. Either growing a child or feeding a child for 7years gets a little tiring. I anxiously wanted to move on with my life and reclaim MY body back for myself. So a few months ago after having several discussions with my husband and trying to figure out if my feelings of not being complete was just my crazy mother brain or if there was really more to it. I decided to do some serious praying to find my answer, and receive the comfort I needed to know that it was OK to say I was FINISHED having children. Whenever someone would ask me if we we had our family and if we were going to stop. I could NOT give them a straight answer it tore at me inside to say, Yes we have our family. I could not bring myself to say it out loud and would stumble over the words when I would try and say what my husband wanted me to say and come to accept. One night in October I was fervently praying after reading my scriptures to know and feel what my husband was feeling. I prayed asking my Heavenly Father to help me to know if our family was complete and to find the peace to move on and be able to accept this. As I was doing this I heard in my thoughts "There is another". Not expecting to hear this I thought I was CrAzY! I continued to pray asking if that was just me making things up in my head or if that was the spirit trying to tell me something. An overwhelming feeling came over me  my chest burned and I knew that we were to have another Child. When this would occur I was not sure of but I knew our family was not complete yet.I then thought in my head well then Father if this child is suppose to come there had better be some Divine Intervention to occur cause there is no way my husband will believe me on this. A month had past and I hadn't discussed this experience with Scottie. I was still trying to figure out how to tell him. I went to the Temple the beginning of November with some friends and as I was attending a session clear as day in a voice that was not my own I heard " It is time."  I was thinking "It is time for what?" And then it hit me." Ohhhhhhhh riiigghht." Well I guess I should talk to Scott. How did I approach him you might ask? Well it was 3 weeks later when I surprisingly found out that I was PREGNANT! Ya lets just say I laughed hysterically for a good hour while Scott sat there in complete shock. And now I can say that the surprise has passed and WE FEEL like our Family is NOW COMPLETE! There will be no chairs left empty in our home.

Catch Up Time...
