The Kitchen

Of all the rooms in the house the kitchen needed the most work. I think it is also the biggest transformation. I hated the cabinets and knew I couldn't leave them the way they were. So I did A LOT of painting. I think it turned out really great!

It's been a while

Things have been so crazy! I feel like I don't even have time to breathe since we moved. School will be starting again in the next few weeks and I'm hoping that life will settle down once it does. So maybe sometime soon I will have time to work on my blog again. Here's hoping!

Busy

We are finally starting to get settled in our new house. We still have work to do, improvements to make, and rooms to finish in the basement. It's been so much work and I'll be happier than I can express in words when its over. I can't wait for life to return to normal. I'll post before and after pictures as we finish things up. Something to look forward to, right?!

Our little graduate!

Orin graduated from preschool yesterday. He was so stinkin' cute in his graduation program and was making us laugh so hard. (I think we may have a class clown on our hands.) We had fun watching him sing, dance and say his part. He did awesome! Way to go Orin!

Well...it's official. We're moving!

We have about three weeks and I don't know how we're going to finish everything that we need to. It's going to take lots of work, time and patience. I'm excited, nervous, stressed, anxious and worried all at the same time. We've lived here for so long that I don't know what to think of this all. I'm excited to live closer to my in-laws but sad that I'll be moving away from my Mom. I know this will be good for my little family but a HUGE change. Change is good, right?

DARE

Teya graduated from DARE yesterday.

I'm proud of her for making such good choices.

Appreciation

I adore these two women! They are great teachers and I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to work with them. We'll miss you next year!

Little helper

Alton saw me accidently spray the mirror with hair detangler. I told him that I would have to clean it. A few minutes later he came back and he had a wipe so he could clean it. It was adorable!

Scooby Dooby Doo.

We were riding in the car last week when I heard Eadie tell Orin that the sign for Kaysville was coming up. She was pointing it out to him when she said that she wondered where Scooby-Doo's house was. Teya then informed them that Scooby-Doo doesn't live in Kaysville, he lives in Coolsville. Pretty amusing!

Easter

Where do they get this stuff?

We went to the park and had lunch on Wednesday. It was very nice and the kids had fun playing. Orin met two little boys while we were there. He was talking to them about our van. He said "We used to have a blue van but it broke down. So then we got this one." He then leans on the hood of the van and says "This baby rocks!"

A child's understanding....

A few weeks ago we took Eadie to the baptism preview. While we were there and they were talking, she asked me, "When you get baptized do you still have to get in the bath?"

It was so cute! It's interesting the way kids think.

Bowling

We took the kids bowling the other weekend. None of them had ever been except for Teya. They all had a great time and did so well.
Alton was fun to watch. Everytime he finished his turn he would do a little dance and put his arms in the air. He got the highest score after Justin!
I really must be horrible at bowling because I got the lowest score of anyone! All of my kids beat me! We had a lot of fun!
