Mid-cycle

Ok, I am CD13 and had my mid-cycle u/s this morning. I took clomid days 5-9, had a follicle on the right side this morning that was measuring at 20mm and I got my injection of Pregnyl. I will have sex over the next couple of days and start 400 mg of Prometrium on Friday. I go in for a pg test and then for a clomid check on 12/14. I am going to keep my fingers and everything else (except for my legs) crossed that it works this month. Clomid and everything else is making me look like I am going through puberty all over again and this time at the age of 35!

I bought a new elliptical (since my old one broke the beginning of the year). I got the Gold's Gym Cross Trainer 510 on clearance at Wal-Mart for $349. I got up this morning and used it for the first time since I bought it on Thursday and just got it put together yesterday. It definitely gave me a good workout. I was going to go get a nordic track that was on sale at Sears on Friday, but decided not to put forth that effort of being there at 4 am. Anyways, after extensive research on this one, I found that this brand is made by the same people that make Nordic Track, Weslo, ProForm, etc.... So, what can you do. I got the 2 year extended warranty for $30, so as long as I can loose some weight, then this will definitely serve its purpose.

Well, time to get back to work since I got in late this morning. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends!!!! Now...time to get ready for Christmas! This year has gone waaaaayyyy too quick.

Take care.

Course of action...

Since you asked, I will tell you....

My course of action this cycle is same as my first with Dr. M.

I am taking clomid cd 5-9, go in for a mid-cycle u/s on 11/30 and will then get the Pregnyl. I will do it like crazy for a week, starting on 400 mg progesterone and go in 2 weeks later.

Wish I had more, but that is it!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!!! I am off to get my hair cut and colored....then I am starting the weekend!!!!

Take care and have a wonderful one!

updates...*UPDATED*

OK. So this cycle was a bust as far as following protocol with the clomid and injectables. J was going to be out of town during ovulation (based on previous clomid cycles), so I didn't do Clomid or the injectables. I had the HSG on 10/23 and everything looked "normal". I had my follow-up HSG appt. and an u/s on 10/30. Dr. M. said it looked like I had ovulated already even though my temp wasn't showing any signs of it. He said that I had no follicles on the right side and a few on the left side that we less than 10 mm. He said I had no CM, my lining was thick, and I had a normal amount of fluid.

So, here I am now. If you look at my chart, I got my dotted cross hairs on CD17, which would make me 17 dpo. However, I had a substantial dip on CD22, which could indicate that I actually ovulated then (putting me at 12 dpo) or it could be implantation dip. In any case, I took another cheap-o internet test this morning and it is still negative.

I am beginning to break out and have been a bit crampy so I am expecting to start any day now. I am watching for my temp to drop...

I hope that everyone is doing well!

Thanks for checking in Sara!!!!

Take care and will update in a few days when I have something a little more definite.

Update....

Cycle 2 with Dr. M **UPDATED**

Well, went in for the blood work and then my appt. with Dr. M. My temp dropped that morning, so I was not hopeful at all. Blood work came back as I expected....negative!

So, we are on to cycle 2 (that kind of made me chuckle...wish this was only cycle 2, but I guess it is cycle 2 of a new regimen). Temp dropped even further this morning and I am a touch crampy right now. Since I have been on the progesterone, spotting will count as day 1, which I am not used to. I am generally full blown at the beginning. Anyway, I am a little crampy this evening and I think I saw a hint of pink earlier. So, if that is the case, then I will call Dr. M's office tomorrow and schedule an HSG and my u/s monitoring for this cycle.

So, we will see how it goes.... Not much more to report other than that.

Take care!

UPDATE (10/16/09)

I was right...started last night, so today is officially CD2. I am having my HSG on 10/23 and midcycle U/S on 10/27. I will take Clomid starting on Day 5 and will get the trigger of Pregnyl on the 27th assuming I have a good follie... Then another 2 week wait. You would think that this stupid 2WW would get easier with time. I think it actually gets worse.

Anyway....have a great weekend!

Absence...**Update**

Sorry for the absence, but things have been hectic and I really haven't been in the mood to update.

Well, we got the SA results back for J and they weren't good. He had plenty, just the motility sucked and apparently the morphology wasn't good either. Got a result of 3...

So...had an appt. with the RE this morning. Since I took clomid this month, I am going back on Wed. morning and if I have a good egg, then I am getting injected and we will do it like rabbits... We do that every month, but hopefully this will help us along. I will start taking progesterone and will go from there.

If this doesn't work, then we will look at IUI. If that doesn't work, then we will probably stop there because we just don't have the money to do IVF. Who knows though! I promise to start trying to update more now that I have an action plan...at least for the time being.

Well, time for me to get back to work. Thanks for the note Melissa!!!!

Take care everyone!

**UPDATE**

I went in this morning for my ultrasound. I had a 21mm follicle on the right side and a few small ones on the left (all under 10 mm), so Dr. M. gave me the trigger of Pregnyl. I will start prometrium on Saturday (400 mg/day) and then I go back on Oct. 14th for a pg test and clomid check. We will see how it goes from there.

Take care!

Update...

Well, I have had enough. I quit taking the Metformin last night. I was useless and could not function like I should.

I will take the clomid for another 2 cycles and then I am at the end of my clomid taking.

That is it for updates...

Yes, I was taking the ER. That is all that I have ever taken. I feel like a failure for giving up on it, but I couldn't function and it was making work extremely hard. I haven't had the nausea or headaches since 2 days after I quit taking it and I have to say that I feel about 90% better. Would be at 100% if it weren't for work!!!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Let me just say...

Between the stress at work, the metformin, and the clomid....I don't think I can handle much more of the nausea and headaches. I never felt this bad during any of my pregnancies!

I am on day 10 of my cycle and ready to begin the bd marathon....bad thing is, I don't want to. I feel like shit and I feel like I am going to throw up constantly!!!!

Ok, enough complaining....it is time to get back to work. I am swamped and they just keep piling more and more shit on!!!

Take care. Miss you all!
