Trae's first Pack Meeting

Trae was so excited to start scouts after he turned 8 and he loves it! He had his first pack meeting last week and was awarded his Bobcat badge, which is the first badge earned in Cub Scouts. It was alot of fun to be there and support him with this first accomplishment in his journey towards his Arrow of Light and eventually his Eagle Scout award.

Easter Sunday

It was such a gorgeous Easter Sunday here in Florida. We had a very nice relaxing day as a family. The Easter Bunny came while we were at church and the kids had fun looking all over the house for their baskets, and then spending the rest of the day eating all their Easter candy! I had a full heart all day and was feeling so blessed and grateful for all of my blessings and most of all for my Savior's Atoning sacrifice for me. It is so awesome to know where we come from and where we are going, and because of Jesus Christ's unconditional love for us he made it possible for us to be forgiven of our sins so we can continue on this path of life with a clear conscience and learn the things we need to learn in order to be back in his presence some day.

Marshmallow Drop

Our city started an annual Marshmallow Drop instead of your typical Easter egg hunt. It's a really fun thing for the kids! A helicopter comes and drops hundreds of big marshmallows on the field and the kids get to collect them in their baskets, and later they turn them in for an Easter bag full of treats. It was really cool!

Grandma and Grandpa's trip to Florida

We had so much fun with my parents here. The kids love seeing Grandma and Grandpa and I love seeing my mommy and daddy! It went by way too fast, but we cherished every moment. There's nothing like having family around. It's what means the most.

Trae's Baptism

Trae was baptized this past Sunday and it was such a special day. My parents got to be here for it and that meant alot to Trae. His Grandma and Grandpa Taggart were also there in spirit and he knows how proud of him they are. Trae is such a special boy. He was sent to Casey and I for a special purpose I know that with all my heart. He teaches me more than I teach him sometimes. I am so grateful for such a wonderful fun loving and smart boy to call my son. I am so proud of him.

Trae is 8!

Wow I can't believe my first born baby boy is already 8! Trae really wanted a "friends" birthday party this year.  He invited his friends to a place called rebounderz and they all had a blast. They were all very well behaved too! It was alot of fun to see him with his friends having so much fun. It was a fun day. Happy Birthday Trae!!!

Take me out to the ball game..

It's baseball season and Trae is playing for the Dodgers this year. He was so excited when he found out he had some buddies from football and school on his team. He is loving it! But he definitely looks forward to after practice when he can get out his football and get a game going. He'll get all these cute little baseball players in their uniforms out there gettin rough with the football, it's so cute! I guess we know where his true passion lies!
