The Entire "Star Wars" Saga Told in Less Than 3 Minutes... with Legos

Apparently, I'm on a Mashable vibe today. There are tons of Lego stop action videos on YouTube and many retelling Star Wars, but this is high quality and very well done.  Kick back for 2 minutes and 12 seconds and enjoy.

The New Google Chrome Beta video

I switched to the Google's Chrome browser several months ago and haven't looked back yet. The only website I've found that I have to go to IE to run is our educational video subscription at Discovery Education.  The website is fine with Chrome, but the videos will only display full screen with IE or Firefox.

I've been very pleased with the speed of Chrome already, and I'm not running the beta. Now I'm curious, so I'm going to track it down and drive it around a little.

I love Google's innovation and the wide variety of extensions that are now coming available for Chrome. Whether or not you run Chrome, you have to admit that this video is a lot of fun and must have been a real hoot to create. Now why can't that be my job?

Google Search Gets a Major Overhaul

This looks like it's going to be much more useful than the regular Google searches we're all accustomed to. I can't wait to give it a try. Here's Mashable's report

Do bloggers knit or do knitters blog?

Image

So now I've joined the phenomena of blogs about knitting. Have you ever noticed how many knitting blogs are out there? However, this will not be a blog entirely about knitting. That just happens to be the most recent project I've completed, and I wanted to share it. A friend's book club reading selection for April, The Friday Night Knitting Club, inspired me to drag out my knitting stuff and dabble around again.  I clearly don't have time to tackle an afghan or sweater, but I discovered some cute patterns for cotton dishcloths. Dishcloths are perfect little projects I can work on in the evenings and while sitting with the boys doing their homeschooling.

This is the first one I've made and I wish you could see in the photo how it's textured. It's really thick and sort of waffled.  I'm using it as a toaster cozy for now replacing the dishtowel I've had there for years.

I really liked this pattern once I figured it out and memorized the 4 repeating different rows so I didn't have to lug the pattern book around with me.  I will definitely make more of this pattern.  I started a different pattern from the same book and am not liking it as much. Maybe it will grow on me by the time it's finished.
