Awaiting Venice Biennale 2026: Nicoletta Fiorucci
“Awaiting Venice Biennale” is a series of interviews conceived and conducted by Mara Sartore, introducing some of the most anticipated figures of the contemporary art scene on the occasion of the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia. Collectors, curators, artists, and directors engage in conversations exploring their roles, upcoming projects, and their relationship with Venice.

Following the inaugural interview with artist Erwin Wurm, the series continues with Nicoletta Fiorucci. In this conversation, Mara Sartore meets Fiorucci — founder of the eponymous foundation opened last May in Venice’s Dorsoduro district — who welcomes us into her Venetian home to retrace the origins of her passion for contemporary art and reflect on the milestones that have shaped her journey as a collector and patron.

As part of My Art Guides’ ongoing series of dialogues with artists featured in the Vetrina project at Vino Vero Venice, we are pleased to present an interview with multidisciplinary artist Mariana Hahn.
Curated by Mara Sartore, the Vetrina project transforms the display window of Vino Vero into a dynamic platform for contemporary art, inviting women artists to activate the space with site-specific works. For the thirteenth iteration of the series, Hahn presents "Night Eyes", a site-specific installation comprising five works that delve into materiality and human experience, where time acts as a catalyst for transformation, continuously reshaping both the artwork and its meaning.
In this conversation, Mariana Hahn reflects on her practice rooted in the body, memory, and material metamorphosis, her use of copper and salt as carriers of time and narrative, and the layered emotional and historical resonance of creating work in Venice.
