Amazingly, the Saints are going to the Superbowl. I never thought I would see this day. Really. It's surreal. New Orleans is about to explode. |

It's the end of another week. This time it's the week I restarted P90X after stumbling and falling out of the habit of working out while travelling and being sick. And boy am I sore all over. Man this workout is in intense. Even with just three weeks before, a week or so off, and now being back on it I've already seen a slight result. My fitted suit pants actually go on a little easier. Looks like I lost about 1/2". My weight is still the same and I expect it to stay that was as I exchange fat for muscle. |

Wow. I haven't updated in over a week. Things have been a little crazy. The job hunt continues, although I do have an interview lined up. I guess the only real big news is that for the first time in ten years I have a new haircut. It's now just over my shoulders. |

Yesterday we went to the Fernbank Natural History Museum. It was a blast, I felt like a kid. New Orleans doesn't have a natural history museum, so I never got to see one before yesterday. Yes, that means it was my first time seeing the typical giant dinosaur skeletons. We also took in an IMAX movie, about an African Safari.
Today is our last full day in Atlanta, we fly back home tomorrow evening. |

Today we visited the SweetWater Brewery. This time we got there early; in fact, we were the first ones there. For a mere $8 we got a pint glass that we get to keep, a tour, and six tickets for tasting samples. "Samples" that are 5.5 oz. So we got half a pint for each one. It was awesome. As before, pictures to follow once I get back home and tether my phone. |

Tonight we tried to take a tour of the SweetWater Brewery here in Atlanta. It's cold and raining with occasional sleet right now. We get down there to find the tour is filled and they are turning people away. Sad panda.
Instead we had dinner at a Mexican place that has killer margaritas and a staff that wears Luchador masks to sing "Happy Birthday". I call the evening a win. |

Today in Atlanta: We went to World of Coca-Cola. It's like a small museum for Coke, complete with a tasting room for Coke products from around the world. It is awesome. Remember the polar bear commercials? I got my picture taken with the polar bear. The suit the guy was wearing was animatronic and the face moved in response to everyone taking pictures with him. I took a bunch of photos but will have to post them when I get home and tether my phone to the computer. |

Veronica and I went to see Sherlock Holmes today. It was highly entertaining, a rather good adaptation of the original material for a new audience. It reminds my why I think Robert Downy Jr. is the best actor is Hollywood at this time. |

I'm safe in Atlanta until the 6th of next month. For my first time flying, it was quite an experience.
First we were scheduled on a 2pm flight. About thirty minutes before departure it was delayed until 3:45pm. We were unhappy but decided to wait. Suddenly, it was delayed again...until 5:22pm. They claimed it was for maintenance. Then Delta decided to transfer us to another flight for 4:35pm. Finally, we were on our way.
The flight itself was quick, less than 50 minutes thanks to a tailwind. In fact, we were told to slow down by air traffic control so we would fit in the arrival pattern. We landed safely and had to wait a bit for the gate to clear.
It took us 90 minutes to get our luggage. I had to check mine because it was too big and I packed my razor kit. Well, out luggage was still tagged with out original flight number and wound up on the wrong carousel. When we eventually went to the baggage counter they knew exactly what the problem was and we retrieved our bags. A quick dinner and car ride and we're safe in Atlanta. |
