Background:
Wow, the wiki is bad for this.
- At some point Izutsumi was a normal girl, but when she was 6 she was taken from her family and turned into a cat beastman/Chimera.
-Then she spent another 6 years being sold and kept as a sideshow attraction.
-When she was 10 she was brought by a rich man as a pet for his mistress because 'she likes kittens'.
-Mistress is unimpressed to learn her new kitten is a feral, flea-ridden beastchild. And after 2 years of trying to teach Izutsumi manners and not to run away, she places a curse on her to stop her leaving.
-Izutsumi manages to get away when she's 17 anyway. She joins the main characters' party and they manage to remove the curse.
-She sticks with them after that.
Abilities:
- No actual magical abilities, but thanks to her cat part she has enhanced hearing, enhanced eyesight, enhanced smell, reflexes and claws. (Those aren't an ability, but they are sharp)
-She's also been taught hand-to-hand combat and how to fight with a kunai
♰ SUITABILITY
Strengths: So Izutsumi is one of those characters whose traits lean more netural than outright positive or negative. Because in some situations they can be helpful, in others they're a hindrance.
For example, Izutsumi is very confident and sure of herself. When attacked by a group of monsters she mocks them for being weak and needing to attack in a group. And boasts that she can take them all on alone. Generally speaking, she can back these words up and saves the day, but she has also been overwhelmed.
She's also very persistent. She knows what she wants and can form a plan for getting it. Even if there's a risk of her dying in the process or if she has to hold others at knifepoint.
Weaknesses: Her main reoccurring flaw is how standoffish and selfish she is. It's not that she necessarily dislikes them, she's just not nice to them. She's not fond of small talk other good at it and is quick to get annoyed and start scratching, leaving her relationships strained. She also steals food and blankets and is basically the roommate from hell.
Izutsumi also has a bad habit of just wandering off alone, especially after the curse keeping her leashed is removed. Even in dangerous areas she'll go off and do her own thing. It's only bitten her in the butt once...
To sum it up, Izutsumi has a lot of traits that make her hard to get along with and are likely to get her in trouble. Especially when she's in a place she doesn't know, without the people who'd normally keep her in line.
Fears:Her biggest fear is people, she'd never admit it though. Izutsumi spent a large chunk of her life being treated as an animal since being turned into a chimera. She doesn't want to need people or be attached because it's safer to be alone in her eyes. Her other fear, despite what her original goal was, is what would happen if she turned into a human. It's never happened before and no one is sure where the cat monster ends and the human begins. Izutsumi blames her cat half for her less savory traits and believes it to be the reason humans reject her. She's not sure of this though and worries that the human Izutsumi would also have these issues.
Desires: If asked why she's hanging out with the merry band of main characters, Izutsumi would say it's because she thinks their mage could turn her into a human again. However in truth, she wants a place to belong and for someone who cares. When they encounter a group of Succubus, her's takes the form of a woman claiming to be Izutsumi's mother offering comfort. Izutsumi still punches it in the gut, but it does make her pause for a moment.
Regrets: Izutsumi regrets nothing.
Tethers: She has four little figures of her friends. The first is of Chilchuck, nice and snug in a futon because he's the warmest for cuddling. Marcille posed like she's about to cast a spell from when she removed Izusumi's curse. Then there's Senshi and Laios, they share a figure of Senshi standing over a pot cooking and Laios... drooling. Because she doesn't think much of him other than that he's a monster-eating weirdo. The final figure is of Inutade, an oni girl who was Izutsumi's first friend. Izutsumi outwardly doesn't think much of the Tethers, she's only just gotten used to the idea of having friends, she won't admit that these people are actually her friends. She was using them to help herself for selfish reasons. Though in secret, she'll look at them fondly.
