It's been awhile....

A lot has happened in the last year since I have posted. Biggest news (most should know this) we had a little boy. Henry James Emmett. He is a good baby, now. Not so much in the beginning. Now he sits up. Tries to talk, drools  A LOT, eats anything you put in his mouth, and still gets up quite a few times in the night. He is such a happy baby when being held, loves to be around people and has the greatest smile I have ever seen on a baby! And is loved by his sisters!

Kiersten and Aubrey just finished up volleyball. Kiersten made the JV team this year and did great! Aubrey rocked the 6th grade team (everyone that wants to play, get to play when in 6th grade, including boys).

Kiersten is getting ready for the big 8th grade dance that is coming up next month. We finally found a dress! And I say finally cause we have been all over trying to find one. Not easy to find one that is modest. But we did find one that Grammie will be able to alter to fit our criteria! Can't believe that she will be going to High school next year!

Aubrey is doing great in school and has enjoyed being able to babysit and earn her own money.  She will be a teenager soon! Heaven help us all! :)

Megan has a great love for the outdoors. So when it is nice out, we are outside. She will play all day outside. She is great at finding things to keep herself busy. She loves to go to work with Eric and really loves to kiss all over baby Hemi (as she calls him).

First day of School

The girls are both at the same school again, which in nice in most ways, but expensive! Aubrey started her first year of Middle school and Kiersten is in her last year there. Time is flying by!  Each of them had a great day. Aubrey was able to get her locker open the first try and find each of her classes. Kiersten is happy with her schedule and is looking forward to working on the yearbook! Both of them plan to play volleyball and soccer. Should wind up being a pretty busy year!

Meg had to get in on the picture taking. She was so crushed when she found out that only Kiersten and Aubrey got to go to "Goole!" When they got out of the car, she cried and cried. "Me too, me too, goole!" She also has a hard time with the bus thing. She wants to ride a bus soooo bad! I tell her each day that when she is 5 she will get to ride a bus. And she promptly tells me  "I two!" Ahhh only a few short years and she will be in goole too!

Pickin' Blueberries
Image
Meg loves to go down to the garden and pick blueberries! She has a fantastic ability to only pick the ripe ones too! We have two plants that produce a good amount of berries for us. Enough for Meg and the girls to pick and eat and still have some left for me to pick and make fresh blueberry muffins!!!

Baby Brayden

Back in June Meg and I were able to go to Idaho with my mom to help Stephanie & Taylor after they had their new baby boy. What a treat!! That lil'man is so cute!!! Stephanie had that baby in less than 2 hours, start to finish! And had to do it natural.....what a woman!  We had a lot of fun playing with Kaitlyn and Alexis too!  Grammie bought them a pool and the girls and I set it up one morning.  They had a lot of fun playing in the cold water.  When they first got out in the yard, Kaitlyn was being a helpful bigger cousin and helped Meg into the water. Meg freaked out and started to cry.  When I got over to her all she kept saying was...."shoes, shoes!" She was upset that her water shoes had gotten wet. Silly kid! That's what they are for!!! Once she got over that & she decided that it was more fun to be IN the swimming pool she enjoyed herself!

 Still sulking a little bit.

Meg absolutely LOVES this lil'man! She always wanted to know what he was doing & if she could hold him.

Easter 2011

Image
This year we went & dyed eggs over at Grammie & Papa's house. Meg thought that this was a fun thing to do. I loved watching her face when we put in a white egg and have it come out a different color.
Image
A green one!!!
Image
I love that the "older girls" still love to participate in these sort of things!
Image
Easter morning we had to wake the girls up early since we have 9am church! They found their baskets and sat down together to go through them. Meg loved that she got candy & loved it even more when she got to eat as much of it as she wanted! She kept looking over at Eric & I to see if we were going to take it away from her or tell her to stop!

Image
She wasn't too sure about picking things up out of the grass, that were wet, but she eventually got over it & had a lot of fun!

Image
Kiersten decided to tell everyone that I had told her she was too old to hunt Easter eggs (never did those words come out of my mouth)! So her Grammie came with a huge bag of candy that she had put together for her since she was "unable" to participate & would miss out on the candy...what a nice Grammie but seeesh! I looked like the meanest mother ever! So Kiersten was able to choose if she wanted the "Grammie" candy or hunt eggs, she choose the Grammie candy.

I love all of the different face this kid makes!!!

Just a Little Behind...

So I finally transferred my pics from the camera to a disc, realizing that I should probably do that more than every few months.
Here are the girls on their way to the first day school.
Kiersten started her second year of Middle School and of coarse is loving it. She is such a young women now, I hate it... She is playing the flute again this year and is still undecided on which sports she will do again. She has started to babysit quite a bit and is loving it and loving having her own money.
We love her to pieces.
Image
Aubrey is in her last year of Elementary School. She has the same teacher that Kier had so we already know what to expect. She has some of her best friends in the class so that makes it easier and more fun. She is excelling in her reading and has taken off in math, didn't get that from me! We are so proud of her and love her so much!
