Free Hair Cuts

JC Penny was offering free haircuts for school aged kids during the month of August. I took Abbie in to have 3 or 4 inches taken off. After Abbie's cut, Aimee was saying, "My turn, my turn!" I told her no because she wasn't in school yet but the nice lady at JC Penny said that she could get in on the deal! I was happy since she desperately needed one! Here are some of the after shots:

Swim Boot Camp

Today was Abbie's last day of "Swim Boot Camp"....She did an intense 8 day class! It was one on one instruction and really moved the kids along. The first few days were rough...there were some tears and her confidence was thin, but she did it and was sooo successful! When you watch the video, remember that 8 days ago she couldn't swim AT ALL by herself and relied on a swim float. You will be amazed! This is her teacher Chelsea! Thanks, Chelsea for helping Abbie become a swimmer!

In the video you will hear a male instructor's voice. He is the instructor for the other student in the pool. Everett actually did very well, but he cried a lot! The instructor had to consistently be on him....sorry....it's sorta distracting but just focus on Abbie and Chelsea's voice!

Mike Celebrates Another Birthday...

We had a fantastic day celebrating Mike's birthday!  The girls and I met him for lunch.  Then he came home from work and we opened gifts.  The best part (wink, wink) was when we dropped the girls over at the Willis' house and Mike and I went to dinner....just the two of us!

Goodbye Gymnastics

For over a year now, Abbie has been taking a weekly gymnastics class.  She has met tons of friends and I have had fun visiting with their moms while Abbie does her class.  Coach Lisa is awesome and really helped Abbie progress from beginning to ready to advance to Level 1.  We have decided to let Abbie try other activities, so for now, gymnastics is on hold.  I know we will miss our friends and Coach Lisa....

Food Bank

Our MOMs Club had a food drive last month. A week or so ago, we took a trip to the food bank to deliver the items we collected. It was a great experience for everyone! The girls loved sorting and knowing that the food was going to families that needed help! I loved seeing them so excited and seeing the generosity of my friends who contributed! Here are some of the highlights:
