I am glad to say Auf Wiedersehen to 2008. It wasn't a horrible year, in fact it was a year for setting up a lot of things that will be good in the future.

I have residency now and a better grasp on German. I have a budget worked out and plans for saving. I have a job and leads on a better one.

Keary and I have spent 6 years together as of 08 and are still together. This is now officially the longest relationship I've been in. (with no break in the middle even)

My mother is well, my father is well, my nephew currently isn't broken and at least is in an OI program.

There were Deaths that were both a release and a heart break, expected and not.

I feel a change in me and can feel the way to move forward.

So I voted last night. I meant to fill out my ballot 2 days ago but instead did so parked in my car around the corner from the ballot box. I have to say I love the way Portland does it's elections. I love getting my ballot in the mail and having a ton of time to fill it out and get it in.

I'll be happy when this damn election is over. I have no hope and no misgivings about what may come. I don't believe in either man and feel that either way it'll be a mess.

On a different topic, I had an interview with the Richmond clinic. That would be the clinic I really want to work at. It wasn't for the position I really want but I would accept this one if offered. They told me they thought I would be a good fit for the Team Assistant position (the one I really want and wasn't interviewing for). Then she said I would be a good fit for both positions. I made it clear that the team assistant job is my dream job but that I would be thrilled to get either one.

So I figure that's good right?? I mean they don't normally tell you in an interview that you would be a good fit right?

Getting a new job would be wonderful. It would mean the time to go back to school and to be sane. My current schedule makes me crazy and lame to be around. I would love something that doesn't disrupt my entire life.

So I'm nervous and freaked out. I really hope I get one of these jobs.

Tonight I will not be watching the elections. Instead I will be in my German class.
