Color me Red

We arrive here in Lima with Holli supporting a few blond high - lights.  The looked good but what she really wanted was RED. So last week she went red!
I still love her natural brown!! But what do I know, I'm just Mon.  Love you Rue.

Surf's up Peru

Holli and friend Eva hit the waves in Lima.

Camping out

The kids love camping out on the patio off of Carter's bedroom.

ICC- Inter Class Competition

Each year Roosevelt American School Peru, High School has an inter class competition.  This year Holli was a Junior. She competed in volleyball and swimming.  They had so much fun. After an entire week of competitions in volleyball, swimming, cheer, basketball,  battle of the bands,  class murals and oh so much more the week ended with a Senior class win. We all think the judging was rigged.  Fun, fun week!!

Our new church

We love our new church. It is very small. The Masses are outside. The music is nice. Oh yah, it's in Spanish!  Yikes! We still love it.

Fun at the Embassy

Slack-line

Carter's latest challenge. He is taking  Slack-line classes after school. Of course he convinced us he needed his own Slack-line at home. He really likes the challenge.

BE Dance camp 2013

WOW....what a weekend! We had such a great time, worked hard and made many new friends. I am not sure if you really have had a chance to speak with your daughter about the weekend yet....if she is anything like my daughter, she has been sleeping since she got home. So here is a brief summary of the weekend:

- The team learned a total of 10 routines!
- Awarded a Spirit Stick every day
- Award the Super Spirit stick from Chapin High School
- Brought home 29 blue ribbons. A blue ribbon is awarded for completing a routine with 3 or less mistakes and a smile on your face.
- Brought home the Creativity Award (not sure if that is the exact name of it). It is given to a team who changes the formations in the team routine they learn. Patrice is exceptional at changing formations. Our girls routine was changed to include multiple difficult formation changes!
- Brought home a Superior Trophy
- Melissa was presented a "Pass Down" pin from one of the dancers from Dutch Fork High School. This is given to a dancer who was seen as always giving their all and being a positive individual.
- Brought the house down with their surprise Backstreet Boys/NSync concert!!!

I cannot even begin to tell you how proud I am of your daughters. They are amazing girls and you should be proud! They handled themselves with utmost respect and perseverance. This weekend is not at all an easy weekend.
