Since 1979, NHEE has empowered communities across New Hampshire by advancing high-quality environmental education and promoting environmental literacy. NHEEd to Get Outside, Again (and always)!
Since 2018, we’ve awarded $85,492 to get 10,266 students outdoors! Our grants support NH schools and non-profits in creating hands-on, outdoor learning experiences. Whether it’s a nature center, state park, or your school grounds, we want students exploring the environment through all subjects, in every season. Grants range from $200-$2000 to cover transportation, fees, and outdoor gear. Apply now and let’s get students outside learning, exploring, and connecting with nature!
Nominate an Exceptional Environmental Educator!
The New Hampshire Environmental Educators (NHEE) is excited to honor an outstanding educator each year who inspires students to explore environmental studies in impactful and lasting ways. This prestigious award recognizes those who demonstrate exceptional dedication to environmental education, whether teaching in K-12 schools, non-formal settings, or postsecondary institutions across New Hampshire.
The award recipient receives a $200 cash prize, one-year membership to NHEE, and is recognized a the NHEE annual meeting and at their school/organization. Learn more about this award and how to nominate an educator.
