I am so GRATEFUL to my close and long time friend Bethany Davenport for taking not only Nolan's newborn pictures, but brother pictures and our 2010 family pictures. Bethany is amazing with the camera and so very patient!! I love her work! You can visit her business website at www.bdphotographyinc.blogspot.com. She is so talented and we were so fortunate to have her take our pictures again this year. THANK YOU!! :)

The Older Brudder

Owen has been such a good big brother! When we first came home from the hospital, he acted out a bit, mainly towards me. He clung to me and didn't quite understand that the upper part of mommies body didn't want to be rammed into. OUCH!! And like most toddlers almost 3, his listening skills are, well, non-existant!

He always loves to be around "Brudder." I swear he doesn't understand that he doesn't need to be an inch away from Nolan's face for him to be able to see and hear him. But, he's 2, so I have just gotten used to telling him to back up. No, BACK UP!!!! ;) It has been fun to see how Owen interacts with him and see that he really has taken a strong likening to Nolan. Lets cross our fingers that it continues!!

Lately, Nick and Owen have been going on some hikes in the area. Once to give mommy a break and another when I was at a conference. I wish I could have gone, but am glad that they are getting their Daddy-Son time in! :)

ImageI LOVE this boy!!

Image"Playing" baseball with daddy. Until daddy leaves him for the football game on tv!! :(

ImageThis kid lives in these boots! I just ordered them in the next 2 sizes!!

ImageA proud lookin' BIG BRUDDER!!

ImageDaddy tried to give this old hat to a friend and Owen was so possessive of it, that we couldn't give it away. So he wore it for a few days just to make sure it was staying here!! Poor guy.

ImageOwen wanted to have a sleep over with Nolan on his blanket. That is, until Nolan wouldn't stop crying. Then he wanted his blanket back. "Take him mommy!"

ImageBath time with new toys and lots of bubbles!!

ImageCan't get enough of his LITTLE BRUDDER!!

ImageOwen learned soon on that he should be in EVERY picture I am taking of Nolan...

ImageCheese!!!

Time Flies!

I can't even believe that this little guy is going to be 8 weeks old this week!! We have been so blessed to have him in our family and so fortunate that he is a great baby, just like Owen was. I was worried that in having a super good baby the first time around that the second would be a nightmare, but it hasn't been the case at all! YAY for us!!

Nolan is a good sleeper, which was not a surprise as all of the men in the Campos and Richey families sleep well and hard. I am not sure if it started in utero, but this guy can sleep through anything... especially his loud and super active older brother!! I can be nursing him and Owen will be sitting so close to us that he might as well be on top of us singing songs. It doesn't even phase Nolan. I am definitely not complaining, just pleasantly surprised!

Nolan, like most babies, LOVES bath time and HATES to get out! And like most boys, HATES to get cleaned, especially between the fingers and toes, under the neck and "down there." Sorry bud, but until you can do it yourself, this is how it goes!! ;)

He also LOVES the bouncer. I was relieved when he took to it because Owen didn't really like it. It is so helpful when I am taking a shower or making dinner. But I ALWAYS know when Owen is around him. He will go from pleasant and quiet, to screaming at the top of his lungs. Go figure.

Well, enjoy the pics!! Sorry it took me so long. Life with 2 is just a bit busier than life with 1!!

ImageSling = Sleep! Mama loves it!

ImageIs the bright red face a dead giveaway that Nolan is NOT a fan of the carseat?!?!

ImageI foresee a piano player in the future... :) This is how he fell asleep!!

ImageLovin' the bouncer

ImageStill workin on making him a binky LOVER!!

ImageThe bouncer...

ImageYep! The bouncer!

ImageNot the bouncer... Bathtub!! :)

ImageBack to the bouncer!!

ImageMy little cutie!!

ImageI just wanna kiss him!! Sooo cute!

A Mouse in the House

Luckily for us, this mouse is super cute, very ticklish and has a contagious laugh!! These days Owen is quite OBSESSED with Mickey Mouse. The latest version of Mickey and his friends on tv is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. All of the characters are the same, but the show is more of a toddler learning skills show than just a cartoon like we had growing up. And like most parents of small children, we (yes, that INCLUDES Nick) can sing along to all of the songs of the show. :)

So naturally when we asked Owen what he wanted to be for Halloween, given that at 2 years old, I'm not quite sure if he knew what Halloween was, he instantly yells "MICKEY MOUSE!!!" So here he is, costume and all, at the 'Trunk-or-Treat' put on at our church. Instead of going door to door to 'trick-or-treat,' everyone who has kids and wants to participate decorates the open trunk of your car. Then the kids are taken around to 'trick-or-treat' at the trunks, hence the 'Trunk-or-Treat!" It is a fun, safe and much quicker way of taking your kids out on Halloween!!

Our Family of 4

The stork delivered!! Nolan Michael Campos was born Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 3:57pm at 8lb 7oz and 21in long!! When he was born, he looked very similar to Owen when he was a newborn. He is a good eater and sleeper, and we are so thrilled that he is finally here with us! We still can't believe he's only been here for 10 days!

I know many of you already saw some of these pics on facebook, but to those of you who aren't on facebook, enjoy!! I know there are a lot of pics, but I kept the post short so you wouldn't feel like it was a waste of time checking the blog!

ImageMy last prego pic! So glad to be able to sleep and breathe better these days!!

ImageI know Nick likes to brag and exaggerate a bit, but he really did get to deliver Nolan!! I have the pics to prove it, but they were not 'public friendly' pics... if you know what i mean... and i think you do... ;)

ImageMy doctor was right next to him to assist if he needed it. When nolan was put on my chest, Nick said, "Well, that was easy." Ya, ok.

ImageLove at first sight!

ImageSo sweet!

ImageSmiles. :)

ImageSuch a proud Daddy!!

ImageI LOVE this one!

ImageLookin' at Daddy...

ImageOk, I'm not trying to show some skin. I'm at the hospital!! :) It's just how the anesthesiologist taped the epidural IV.

ImageSo tiny.

ImageMore smiles.

ImageThe Big Brother. I can't believe that almost 3 years ago, we were at the hospital having him!!

ImageNolan watching/listening to his first football game.

ImageJust chillin'.

ImageAlthough there has been the typical acting out to get attention, Owen always wants to kiss and hold "his baby." I can tell Owen's gonna be a good Big Brother!!

ImageBored waiting to be discharged. Had the bags packed and room cleaned up long before Nick came to get us and the nurse came back.

ImageNick and I have come to the conclusion that car seats are not made for newborns. It looks so uncomfortable!!

ImageMan he's cute!! So glad he's ours!
