I just received a facebook friend request from "Sally Cinnamon" - this immediately made me think it might be the once-legendary Imagesimones (who has been known to go by that name). Sadly, though, it seems not. Instead it's someone who thinks they are a nightclub in Manchester who have randomly chosen the name "Sally Cinnamon". Boo hiss.

In other news... there is no other news... go ask someone interesting what they've been up to!:p

So, I am going to be in London with my sister (Imagepaula_l_w) on Thursday, however I'm not entirely sure how we're going to cope... for those that don't know, she's disabled, so can't walk too well. Normally, we'd get around this by taking her out in her wheelchair. However, by all accounts, London Underground & wheelchairs do not exactly go hand-in-hand. This leaves me with one of two options: either have Paula walk round London (we'd not be going far from tube stations, so it wouldn't be that bad) or try and get round by bus. There are problems with each option. Firstly, she's not great with escalators, and going up and down so many stairs is not an option. Secondly, I haven't a clue about busses in London - people tell me they're great and you can get anywhere on them, but I don't know a thing about them - my geography of London is based on the proximity of each place I know to the nearest tube station. Therefore not only would I not know what bus to get on, I wouldn't know where to get off! I think we'll be spending most of our time at museums - just for something to do.

From looking at various websites, it looks like The British Museum, The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum, and The Victoria & Albert Museum. We're not going to make it round every part of every museum, but we'll just look at bits of this and bits of that. The latter 3 are easy to get to from Kensington, whereas The British Museum is close to Tottenham Court Road (where there's also a Waterstones and a Caffe Nero). I imagine we'll also end up at Paula's favourite eaterie (Pizza Hut), which I know is in Picadilly Circus. The other thing I'm concerned about with the underground is if she can get through the barriers quickly enough...

I'm determined to make the day work, though, so any advice London-based people can give me would be most welcome!

Don't suppose there's anyone reading this that's any good at photo editing? If so, leave me a comment and I'll tell you what I would like doing! Cheers!

I was going to start writing about my trip today, but I got sidetracked by Imageemilysdreams, so you'll just have to put up with some photos for now! Those with Facebook can find lots of photos on there... I promise I will write about my Pakistan trip soon (not that more than 2 or 3 of you probably care, but still)!

Yes, I'm home - alive and well! In a way I'm glad to be back, but I'm already missing the place and the people. Special thanks to Emily for being the first (and so far only) person other than my family to welcome me home! The great plans I had of updating regularly failed to happen due to Aysha's computer being dead and the people in the computer repair shop being complete retards. anyway, so far today, I've been awake some 25 hours with only a total of about an hour and a half's sleep during that (partially on a plane and partially in Dubai airport), I've set foot in 3 different countries (Pakistan, UAE, UK), passed through the airspace of at least 12 (Pakistan, UAE, Bahrain, Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Germany, Belgium, UK), and seen the sun set over the last 6 of these. I've also showered for the first time in 2 weeks. I'm not even sure what timezone my body clock is in (it doesn't feel like 1am, but it doesn't feel like 6am either), so I'm going to get some sleep and hope I can figure it out tomorrow! I have lots and lots of pictures which will be going on facebook at some point when I can find the energy!
