Depending on the thread, Ooyama is either...
• A university professor who is doing a lot of research into deaths caused by a couple of cursed games, while waiting to see if he'll die of the curse himself since he only has one of the games but has not actually played it. He knows he might very well just die in a few days, but if so, he has a plan that might help him survive it, after a fashion...
or
• A former university professor, mostly due to being a former alive human being, who spent a short period of time as a hungry ghost (or, as he named them, a "Regret") before becoming a being of digital data. He now usually exists solely inside of a video game, but he's curious to see if he can go elsewhere and is capable of some Weird Shit these days.
