Touring Philadelphia

Our first weekend here we wanted to explore our new surroundings so we got out to see a lot of the old and some of the new sites. We made it around to the Philadelphia Museum of Art with the famous "Rocky Steps"

After our long journey, we finally arrived at our new home.

Everything here is a little bit older, but our neighborhood is nice and we are surrounded by dental students and their families.

The moving truck didn't arrive until the next day so we had no pots and pan, dishes, or anything. Our first dinner in our new home was oven baked pizza served on a cardboard box. Luckily, some friends in our ward lent us a couple of air mattresses. Much better than sleeping on the floor.

Brooklyn visits the James home

I feel lucky that Brooklyn and I got to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa James along with the rest of the James gang in Kansas on our way to Philadelphia.

Uncle Spencer and Aunt Hannah made a trip down from Manhattan. It was so fun to spend time with them.

Podiatrist Grandpa James gave Brooklyn her first foot exam. She passed with flying colors!

Brooklyn's First Plan Ride

At 2 months old Brooklyn took her first plane trip. Uncle Nathan flew with us from Las Vegas to Wichita, KS and was a huge help. Brooklyn was a little trooper. I was so proud of her.

Grandma James was waiting for us and we were thrilled to see her and to be visiting!

The Ringer three does Lake Powell

On August 8th, Brooklyn got her first taste of the annual Ringer family Lake Powell trip. She was fortunate enough to cruise the waters in the Lucky Rhino before it becomes a thing of the past. Unfortuately, the Lucky Rhino was unlucky as usual, and one of the septic lines had a crack in it, which made it the stinky Rhino. Nevertheless, we had a blast.

We were glad we were able to spend some time with the Ringer side before leaving for far away Philadelphia.

Brooklyn totally loves her dad. It's the cutest thing ever. Nate can get her to laugh and smile like no one else can. Sometimes she'll sit there watching him, waving her arms and kicking her legs like she's trying to get his attention and then when he looks at her she'll start giggling. Check out this cute video:

Brianhead weekend

July 19, 2009 we met up with a bunch of the Ringer clan at the cabin in Brianhead. Nate's sister Natalie had her baby Addison just two weeks before Brooklyn was born. We love that they are so close in age--they are going to be best little cousins!

Blessing weekend

Brooklyn was blessed on July 12, 2009. We think there must be something with us and 12's - Nate and I were married on May 12, Brooklyn was born on June 12, she was blessed on July 12...we decided we need to plan for Brooklyn to be baptized on August 12!

Nate and Sarah Ringer welcome their brand new baby girl, Brooklyn Norma Ringer.  She was born on June 12, 2009 at 5:20 pm, weighing 7 pounds and 2 ounces and measuring 19.25 inches. She is healthy and beautiful.  We feel so lucky to have her.   Sarah is also recovering well.
