Michigan Secretary of State Driver Improvement Program

Attending either a classroom or online course with a passing score permits drivers with an opportunity to avoid points on their records and the ticket information from being sent to insurance companies. The driver must be eligible to take the course and may only avoid points once under this program.

Marijuana Education and Awareness Course (MEAC)

In partnership with CLEAR Alliance

The Marijuana Education Awareness Course (MEAC) is a 1 hour, evidence-based behavior education program designed to address health, safety, impaired driving, and critical thinking around marijuana use.

This course helps participants understand how marijuana impacts the brain, decision-making, reaction time, and driving ability, while reinforcing personal responsibility and safer choices on and off the road. Course knowledge checks are included throughout to support learning outcomes, accountability, and maintain engagement.

MEAC is appropriate for parents and guardians, teens, schools, courts, and is an excellent addition to any driver education programs as this course may be used for both prevention and intervention purposes.

NTSI created this course in partnership with CLEAR Alliance, a nationally respected organization dedicated to delivering science-based, evidence-referenced substance abuse and impaired driving education.
