I'm testing the waters on using a journal again. I do miss the communities that I found with Deadjournal & Livejournal.
I'll likely try to remain more anonymous as I used to post using real names but the internet is a different place nowadays. Every post after this will likely be "friends only" just to keep things ideal. I will try to read and interact with others and hope for the same.
I will likely talk about various aspects of my life including marraige, parenting teenagers, working as a software engineer and hobbies / current interests.
I'm between the age of 30-40 cis male living in USA (eastern time zone).
To start I'll simply say that the band I'm currently listening to most often is Good Hangs and the game I'm spending the most time in is Icarus.
I've been walking through estrangement from the family I grew up with on and off for 3 years with the last 2 being almost zero contact. This honestly has been the hardest thing I've ever dealt with and will likely be a frequent topic. I would very much like to find others who have similar experiences...something something "strength in numbers".
