August 2004: First natural IUI
Fall-Winter 2004/2005: Second IUI with Clomid only, Third IUI with injectables
End of Insurance
Spring 2005-Winter 2006: Find not one but two KDs! Bunch of cycles at home.
Winter 2006: New job, new insurance, transfer to Alma Mater Clinic and Dr. Paisan. Labs and SHG still normal.
Summer 2006: IVF #1: Regular lupron, stims, cycle. 6 eggs retrieved, one embryo made
Fall 2006: A couple of KD cycles for shits and giggles
Winter 2007: IVF #2: Antagonist cycle: stims, cetrotide, ICSI and AH. 6 eggs retrieved, one embryo made (yes the same)
February 16, 2007: Dr. Paisan diagnosis: Diminished Ovarian Reserve MIS level a .29 the only lab number indicating a problem.
February 17, 2007-About a month ago: Depression, therapy, job troubles, quitting job without having another, couple’s therapy, estrangement from mother and sisters, taking a new job that was a fiasco, taking another new job that is ok but not a perfect fit, depression meds, weight gain, weight loss, gain again, doing big service for AA, burning out on said service, doing stepwork, losing sponsor, getting more involved in church, becoming a deacon, discerning a call to ministry, friends dying, pets dying, getting a cat, try to buy a condo to no avail, recession kills out IRAs, partner laid off twice and starts real estate school, and new job has five pregnancies including my supervisor, getting a tattoo, and lastly, renaming self and switching blog to a new name and WordPress.
April/May 2009: Consults with Alma Mater clinic and Big Clinic to see if IVF the Third is possible
June/July 2009: Opinions sought and decided to go for IVF the III at Alma Mater Clinic. Now using Clomid and max stims to get ovaries producing again. Pharmacy screw up prevents us from starting IVF III
August/September 2009: timing is off due to vacation to Chicago and to GAY WEDDING in the now liberal state of IOWA.
October 2009: Estrangement with family melts enough to have Nephews stay with us for ten days. No IVF while kid wrangling
November: IVF the THIRD commences: Antral Follicle Count is 6. Growth is slow but steady and Saturday of Thanksgiving Weekend I go for my retrieval and they get five eggs! We feel optimisitc for the first time in cycle.
November 29, 2009: Pick up the phone to hear voice of Dr. Paisan. Doctors never call so I knew at hello. None of the eggs fertilized using ICSI. Eggs were dark and full of debris according to the embryologist.
December 2009: Finally get rid of twonycmoms email for nycphoenix1 at gmail. I am reborn fully this time as the Phoenix
