The OASIS AI Helpdesk supports academic AI initiatives. Our goal is to provide guidance, resources, and expertise to empower your academic work with AI.

UNC-Chapel Hill created the Carolina Computing Initiative (CCI) to ensure Carolina students, faculty and staff have easy access to high-quality and affordable technology. The core of this initiative is that undergraduate students at UNC meet the University’s laptop requirement.

OASIS develops and supports innovative new software solutions to various problems, as well as creating projects that integrate with existing commercial products to extend their functionality.

OASIS provides data analytics and visualization services to the College of Arts and Sciences.

OASIS can assist with various classroom needs, such as implementing new teaching or learning technologies, revising a current strategy, or conducting research and publishing the findings.

OASIS will support to the best of its ability issues concerning the data security of College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) IRB research for which an OASIS support person is listed as a technical contact.

OASIS provides IT support for departments and individuals within the College of Arts and Sciences. Whether you need in-person or remote support or training sessions for UNC technology, our OCS group can assist with your needs.

OASIS is sponsoring a pilot of the Respondus Lockdown Browser. Instructors in the College of Arts and Sciences will be able to use the tool to lockdown students’ browsers for tests and quizzes delivered via Canvas.

The OASIS Systems group supports the instructional mission of the College of Arts and Sciences by providing technical solutions in three main categories: Virtualization, Research Computing, and Secure Data Storage.

The Undergraduate Testing Center is located in Graham Memorial 018. Faculty can request makeup tests through our website.

OASIS is committed to supporting departments in making their websites accessible by offering guidance, tutorials, and personalized assistance. However, we highly encourage departments to utilize the robust resources offered by the UNC-Chapel Hill Digital Accessibility Office, which provides excellent training and tools for achieving and maintaining compliance.

OASIS Web Services handles site redesigns, site refreshes, and general troubleshooting for departments and entities within the College of Arts and Sciences.
