Our darling children on Easter Sunday

Once again, our amazing Bedstemor,
(Grandmother in Danish)
outfitted our children for Easter.
She has dressed the grandchildren,
now 10....and soon to be 12!....
for every Easter and Christmas since they were born.
It is not an easy task trying to find matching clothes for children
from ages almost 7 years to 7 months.
But amazingly,
everytime,
she does it....
and they ALL ALWAYS look sooo darling!

This year, however, she was not able to find dresses
that she was satisfied with in the stores,
so she chose to make 5 little girl dresses....
in about 2 weeks!
I was the only daughter with 5 brothers,
so my Mom sewed beautiful clothes for me years ago,
but 5 dresses in such a short time was quite the task.
In addition to that, my Mother works very hard
at making every detail exactly right...
and beautiful!
So she slaved,
literally, for the 2 weeks,
almost constantly,
sewing these beautiful dresses for her 5 granddaughters.
They turned out perfectly!

My Mom also wanted the boys to feel
just as darling and fussed over,
so she went to great lengths to find them
matching pink shirts and ties......
she was going to make them.....
but was pleased to find them at the store!
They also looked soooo great!

I am sooo blessed to have such an
amazing Mother
that my children
have the privilege of calling Bedstemor.
I am so grateful to her
for her example
of love and sacrifice
and really working hard to make
EACH child
feel special and important and fussed over.

I know my children look forward to their matching clothes
from Bedstemor each holiday,
and I know that they feel her love and care for them
ALWAYS.

I am thankful to have such a wonderful example of how to be a
righteous,
loving,
caring,
sacrificing,
cheerful,
positive,
courageous,
faithful,
obedient,
hard-working,
spiritual,
calm,
and
kind
Mother.....
I only hope to follow her example
and bless the lives of my children and grandchildren as she has.

We are grateful for all of the
beautiful clothes from our Bedstemor,
but more importantly we are grateful
for her and her love and her example.
Our lives are forever blessed
because of her and her life.
I am grateful that she chooses
to follow our Savior,
along with my amazing Father....
who I'll dedicate another blog to sometime....
and live her life to honor Him.

Our lives are filled with love and hope
because of our Savior and
His sacrifice for each of us.
I am always grateful for Easter time,
when we can more fully reflect on
His Life and His complete love for ALL
and strive to be more like Him.
Thanks Mom, for showing us how to do that.....always!
We ALL love you!
