To blog or not to blog?

To continue blogging or not?
Nowadays everything should be kept behind an iron curtain.
No faces, hardly any places, basically nothing can be published.
Pretty pics of funny/colourful/exotic food?
Historical buildings, fancy artworks, boring sunsets?
Chocolate with bacon and gin with blueberries?
Kittens, dogs and garden bugs?
Roses, lavender, lemons and figs? 
Not even pigs.
Those you can get in every public brochure.

in the Rheingau winery area, and of course we chose the location
called Johannisberg.

The view from the Schlossschänke is quite pleasant.
The food was okay, most of the portions huge,
the cook was careful with spices.
And please note, after your walking tour: no beer served!

These guys have been parking illegally on our street since months.
Today I talked to the

LAPPULIISA / PARKKIPIRKKO = Verkehrsüberwacher/ Politesse / traffic warden 

who was issuing fines for the cars parked close to our building.
I asked him how can it be that these King Lifters always
park their vehicles here, although it is not allowed.

Well, Germany has no agreement with UK, so you can write
thousands of tickets but no money will arrive.
Folks, get British number plates and park anywhere you want!

Gut zu wissen: Bußgelder aus Nicht-EU-Ländern (z.B. Norwegen, Liechtenstein 
oder Schweiz) können in Deutschland nicht vollstreckt werden.

Where are we now? 
We are in St. Llorenç, Mallorca. A tiny township next to Artá.
Lucky us, were able to visit a mobile studio!

Mobiles are made of many fragile parts.

Image

And then they hang there, so easy, so weightless.
But it is quite a lot of calculating and trying and balancing 
until you get the right proportions.
That's what we learned from the makers.

Paella afternoon

Again boring garden pics? NO!

This is just some leftover of an artichoke.

The big paella afternoon started with chopping,
chopping artichokes, cauliflower ...

Oh, the mussels you do not have to chop, just shop before.

Ant the butcher chops the chicken as well, 
the bones need to be included when cooking.

And here we go, this is MY paella: no seafood.

For the seafood paella some ingredidences here,
the white cubes are chopped octopus rings.

There they go, carefully adding stuff to the paella pan.

The prawns had to be cooked separately. Why?
Check your recipes.

eggs, mother dough and a kind of reduced pork lard named saïm.

exact formula, so scales have been established defining the proportion 
of each ingredient, giving rise to an excellent quality traditional product.
