I mention this because it’s been a persistent problem: my Gmail account seems to make hash of IF files — specifically .z8 files — when I try to download them from attachments.
I know the problem is specifically in the download process, because if I forward the file to my Yahoo account, and download it from there, it’ll open fine. And, I’ve had friends report trouble downloading certain word processing documents in Gmail, too.
I doubt I’ll be able to get Google’s attention on this one — I don’t even know how to report a bug to them — so I mention it to you guys, with the workaround.
