Trans Lifeline is a trans-led organization that connects trans people to the community, support, and resources they need to survive and thrive. Trans Lifeline’s peer support hotline is run by and for trans people. They’re available 7 am-1 am PST / 9 am-3 am CST / 10 am-4 am EST.
Fireweed Collective
Fireweed Collective is a support network and education project by and for people who experience the world in ways that are often diagnosed as mental illness. They offer a Crisis Toolkit, which includes resources that may provide perspective, comfort, and/or tools to help people experiencing various tough times.

If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health emergency and feels at risk of hurting themselves or someone else, it may be necessary to call 911 and notify the operator that it is a psychiatric emergency. Ask for an officer trained in crisis intervention or in psychiatric emergencies.
Resources for Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Abuse

Trained expert advocates are available 24/7 to provide confidential support to anyone experiencing domestic violence or seeking resources and information. Help is available in Spanish and other languages.

Connect with a trained staff member from a sexual assault service provider in your area that offers access to a range of free services. Free help, 24/7.
Lower Fee or Pro Bono (Free) Counseling
City and local clinics
If you cannot afford the reduced rates offered through Open Path, search online for “community mental health” in your area. Many cities offer free or reduced-fee clinics that may be able to connect you with mental health support.
Pro bono therapists
Search online for “pro bono counseling” to see if there are any therapists who offer totally free sessions in your community.

Detox Local provides a list of mental health and substance use resources specifically for the AAPI (American Asian and Pacific Islander) community.

Find Recovery Now provides information on mental health and substance use resources for people of color. Their mission is to provide equal access to life-saving resources.
