We have a new Tradition

I figured since my boys will be playing football for the next several years to come, it was time to make a tradition out of it. So we had our first annual Opfar Football Kick-Off Party. This took place on Sunday the day before for the 09' season.ImageYou couldn't come to the party unless you wore a football jersey.
(This picture of me and the boys is a little out of focus, but It's the only one I had. I am trying to have Chris take more pictures of me and the boys. Right now there are few and far between. What a shame. I want my boys to remember me. Heaven forbid anything should ever happen to me!)
ImageA football cake to honor this new tradition.

ImageEveryone picked their choice of food for the menu.
Christian: Pizza
Chandler: Cheddar dogs
Chris: Bratwurst
Camden: Nachos
Mom: Fruit (I figured there should be some sort of nutrition)

ImageAfter dinner Dad gave the boys a pep talk.
I hope this is another great season!!

ImageCraft time! Painting mugs and they also decorated foam visors.
Big kudos to Granny Deanny and Papa. Another year another success!
Chris and I were glad we were able to stay and help out. I don't know how you have done it alone in the past. It's a lot of work!

Camden Turn's 5

Image This is Camden giving his Mommy a hug for the best 5 year old party he could ask for! Camden had been planning this party for quite some time. He wanted an Ocean Party and I must say it turned out to be quite cute.

ImageI found a perfect cake pan to make a beach ball.

ImageBlow out the candles my big 5 year old!

ImageThis is pudding and cookies made to look like a bucket of sand.

ImageI can't believe I didn't get a picture of the favors and invitations. The favors were sand buckets with a beach ball, shark water squirter and these adorable frosted sugar cookies.
The invitations were a message in a bottle with sand and sea shells.
All in all I think the party was a success. I love to celebrate my kids b-days and make them as special as I can. I have a lot of fun doing it!

1st LAX Game Ever!

Christian & Chandler both played in their first lacrosse games. They both did really well. I think their experience in football helped a lot, because you have to be aggressive. Chandler is #2 & plays in the Storm Division for Alta(we are still getting used to the idea of playing for Alta!)Christian is #1 in the Lighting division also for Alta.
Image Chandler with the ball.
ImageChristian waiting for some action to come his way.
I had to leave the game for 5 minutes to run Chandler to another field for his game and of course while I was gone, Christian scored his 1st goal. I was sad I didn't get to see it.
