This company's operation was in the process of being transferred to digital platforms, and their large workforce needed to transform their skills, structures and working methods. They were concerned that involving an external consultancy would raise concerns, therefore they decided to involve key and influential people in their firm to help solve this. The first step was the identification of employees who could accelerate organisational cultural change at the company. The second phase focused on engaging these “influencers” with the change management process with discussions and workshops.

We are so honored to present this outstanding success story achieved by Telenor Hungary and Maven7. This outstanding project is among the finalists at the Business Culture Awards 2021 in two categories, namely Culture in Crisis and International categories.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the extent to which a corporation’s strength and efficiency can be influenced by its informal network has been well demonstrated. In addition to this external influence, a change of ownership occurred at Telenor Hungary in the second half of 2018 which has set off a very strong wave of cultural change. Along this change COVID-19 pandemic set foot all over the world, which made this shift even more difficult.
As fear and uncertainties arose in the organization, Telenor partnered with Maven7 to identify mobilizers who can increase engagement. They wanted to change this situation and that is why they decided to launch the Influence project. After identifing over 200 influencers, 45 people who were the most active and motivated in their role were selected to form a Mobilizer team. Mobilizers in this case helped leadership to understand what concerns colleagues, what causes them difficulties, and in which areas they experience lack of information and uncertainty.

At the sixth annual Wharton People Analytics Conference and Competition we had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest innovations in the field of people analytics. Maven7 was selected as one of the finalists with the OrgMapper product family, a leading organizational change management tool that leverages the business application of network science to accelerate change and break down silos within organizations. We are proud to have been selected as one of the top 5 in the Startup Category.
