Our campsite at The Plot is ideally situated as it is in striking distance of Lekhubu (Kubu) Island, Orapa Game Park and Diamond Museum and Central Kalahari Game Reserve, or CKGR as it’s also commonly known.
Sue and I designed and built our campsite through many years of camping around Southern Africa for our own use. We are happy for visitors to enjoy the site at no charge as we are not a commercial venture.
Just outside of Letlhakane camping allows for tranquility away from the bustle of this vibrant village, and it is just off the road to Lekhubu (Kubu) Island.
The campsite has an outdoor bathroom with flush toilet, basin and shower. Hot water is available through a donkey boiler.
Our Kitchenette has a braai ( barbeque) and bush oven, which makes cooking convenient, a sink with preparation counter makes life easy. A firepit allows one to sit around the glow of a fire at night.
The small pond attracts a great diversity of birds (see our bird list) and small animals.
Visit our dairy goat farm, where you can hand feed goats, cuddle kids and maybe even get to bottle feed babies.
