Greening Canada’s School Grounds Grants
Up to $10,000 in funding to cover the cost of purchasing and planting trees and shrubs, site preparation, tree maintenance, planting materials and developing education materials.
Garden Grant Program
Provides a $3,500 monetary grant to support a new or existing edible educational garden located at a K–12 School in the U.S. or Canada.
Go Wild Grants
Students and educators have launched school projects to grow native plants, study wildlife, and restore native habitat for monarch butterflies, bees, bats, birds and more!

EPA Environmental Education (EE) Grants
Supports environmental education projects that promote environmental awareness and stewardship and help provide people with the skills to take responsible actions to protect the environment.
The National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF)
The nation’s leading organization in lifelong environmental learning, creating opportunities for people to experience and learn about the environment in ways that improve their lives and the health of the planet.
Mini-Grants for Outdoor Learning
Funding can be used for any project that advances outdoor learning in your classroom or school. Most commonly, this funding is used to buy gear and/or supplies needed to support outdoor learning activities.
Illinois Outdoor Learning Mini-Grants
EEAI mini-grants are awarded each year for up to $350 per proposal. For example, successful proposal might show that a student field trip to learn about the function and value of wetlands will have more of an impact if supplies, field guides, and equipment are purchased and re-used, and the experience is supplemented with classroom curriculum.
Arkansas Outdoor Learning Mini-Grants
AEEA supports environmental and outdoor education in Arkansas through an annual mini-grant program. The program is designed to support, enhance, and expand the implementation of environmental and outdoor education throughout the state of Arkansas by classroom teachers and non-formal educators and organizations. AEEA funds projects that include, but are not limited to, direct hands-on education programs, educator professional development, and community engagement events.
NHEE Get Outside Funds
NHEE supports environmental and outdoor education in New Hampshire. This grant is open to NH schools or 501(c)3 non-profit organizations to provide students hands-on, experiential, outdoor learning opportunities.

The GroMoreGood Grassroots Grant, brought to you by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation and KidsGardening, is designed to bring the life-enhancing benefits of gardens to communities across the United States. The Grassroots Grants are part of The Scotts Miracle-Gro’s larger GroMoreGood initiative, which will bring the life-enhancing benefits of gardens and greenspaces to 10 million children by the end of 2023.

Rhode Island Department of Education
Outdoor education is a powerful tool that all schools can use to deliver for their students. That’s why the Rhode Island Department of Education launched the $7.5 million Learning Inside Out Outdoor Classroom Initiative. Applications due April 3.
The focus of the initiative is to create, enhance, and support equitable access to natural resources for all students, while promoting environmental literacy and community connection. Together with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, RIDE has developed a competitive application process that prioritizes sustainability and equity.
