Thursday Adventure

Well, we've had a busy Thursday...besides our usual hair salon visit we ran a bunch of errands...by 1 we were home dealing with HEAT it is so hot today and the rest of the week looks like more of the same.
Began the day with breakfast taquitos from What a burger

Lunch

Today we had a nice lunch with Terry and Gina.  We drove to Palatka and met them at Musselwhites.  We always have such a fun time with them...even if Gina tried to convince us Tilapia is not good to eat because it is a bottom feeder.  We figure cleaned and cooked it is fine.  We were sorry Laura wasn't able to join us.
Gina always takes a great picture

Pumping Gas

Mom has decided she likes to pump the gas...anyway today she did!  Doesn't she look cute!  Wonder if Mr. Wallace would have hired her "back in the day"?

Chamblins

Today we added a stop to our trip to the clock shop...we stopped at our favorite used book store...Chamblins.  This huge place is full of books and we could read forever!   Mom and I definitely suffer from Abibliophobia....it's a noun meaning a fear of running out of things to read!   I think we have unread books and books so good we want to read again stashed in every room of the house.  Every week I look at Barnes and Noble to see what new books are being released so I can decide if there are some we just have to have.

Just one isle of many.  There are two building full of books.

Seth Thomas

Good ole Seth Thomas has had to go to the doctor (AGAIN).  He stopped working in December and we took him the clock doctor and after 5 months he was returned to us.  Now after working for a short amount of time he decided to take another break.  I don't know what time is to a clock (I mean age) but it's pretty old - born in 1969,  This morning we drove to the repair shop and left good ole Seth again.  (David and I gave the clock to Mom for Christmas 1970.  I carried it on my lap on the airplane home from BYU)

Last Goodbye

Mom and I met Lindsay, Jonathan and Isaac in St. Augustine for lunch as they were headed north.  We took them some plastic bins we weren't using and a couple of other things that Lindsay needed from here.  It gave us a good excuse to see them one more time.
The yellow truck with the vehicle on the trailer behind is what they are driving.  Looks as big as a Semi-truck.

Uncle John

We had a nice visit with Uncle John while we were in Plant City.  Brother and sister enjoyed getting a good visit in.  We just needed Aunt Clara and the visit would have been a complete joy!

Going Home

All good things come to an end.  We had to go home and tell them goodbye.  It will be a long time before we see them again.  It is a lot further to Maryland than to Plant City...a long drive.

Plant City

Mom and I made a road trip to Plant City to visit with Lindsay and Isaac before they move to Maryland next week.  We had a fun visit...we took an Elmo balloon, strawberries, cheese crackers and a new book to Isaac and hit the mark.
