Christmas

It was fun to have all the kids home this yr for Christmas. Janica came in late Thursday night before Christmas Eve. I felt so bad for her and Cam we had to get up early Christmas Eve and do family pictures. We had to be there at 8 am. And they turned out pretty good. I will have to post them later. But we had a fun time gathering and enjoying the holiday season.

I actually had fun preparing food this year. I did have the help of the girls though. I had Jaylyn make a dish of sausage, Brittney made meatballs and I did potatoes and yams. It was sooo good! I actually got the recipes from my sister in law Suzanne. She is a great cook. Jory gave me a hard time with our Christmas Eve dinner, it was like appetizer food style. But I had some green veggies put out.

We had fun with the B-rek. He is making some new and different faces these days. Fake cries. So we all had some good laughs with him!

Jaylyn read us "Twas the night before Christmas" story. That is our tradition we do every yr. We do it outside by our fire pit. But we don't have one in our new house. Maybe next yr. Its ok at least we don't smell like we have been camping...!!

This is Christmas morning. The kids get to open one gift on Christmas Eve....its pajamas of course. And Breken got his. His pajamas were soo cute!

It will be fun next yr with the B-rek when he will be 1 1/2 yrs old next Christmas. But he was fun to watch with presents and try and open them. Of course he loved the paper.

We had a great Christmas. David had a blast with buying me Christmas presents. I don't have any pictures of me or him opening our presents but he had so many presents under the tree for me that I felt so horrible that I did not get more for him. Well come to find out they were not ALL for me. He just had fun shopping and seeing stuff that the family would have fun with. Like a croquet set and a volleyball, badminton net for the kids to play with. And he got a cooking pan to make omelets in with some cooking utensils with. And a waffle maker from the restaurant distribution center that only restaurant owners who can only go in. He whipped out his FAA repair licence and said that he caters sometimes and they let him in!!!! Ha ya REALLY Mr. Wright!! Well I will have to say we have a nice nice waffle maker! Oh and a blender to... The presents should have said to David from David!! He just laughed and said that we needed to have some house stuff. Well I won't argue with that. But he had fun shopping. We did our family tradition and went to our Christmas movie. We picked out True Grit. It was a great movie. And then went to Jory and Brittney's apt and enjoyed the evening with them. It was a nice day and we feel blessed.

Weddings~ Family Christmas Partys

December was busy with family weddings that we went to Utah for. First was Drew and Alyssa Tutt. They were married in the Manti Temple. What a beautiful Temple. But then again all Temples are beautifull. It has been 29 yrs since the last time I attended the Manti Temple. And for some reason back then it was a big Temple to me. But in reality its small. This is Dave's sister boy who was married. I don't have a lot of pic's from their wedding because it was only 25 degrees outside!! COLD fridged COLD is all I can say. My hands and toes froze while taking some pictures and when I got back in the truck David had the heater on for me and it hurt for my hands and feet to thaw out. This was a fun trip because Jaylyn and Jacob and the B-rek came with us. We took the truck as we thought we would get into some bad weather and we did. Nice to put the truck in the 4-wheel drive and feel safe! Breken is a good traveler. He may come again if he is as good as he was on this trip.

Jaren was Drew's best man. And Devin and Tayler made it a road trip to come for the wedding

I took this pic driving down the road. I was to to cold to stand out side and get some pictures. I think I did pretty good inside the truck going about 2o miles an hr!!

We made a stop at Grandma Roskelley's house so that she could see Breken. It was her first time seeing him since he was born.

Cathy is one of Janica's best friends in high school. She is like one of our daughters. I felt so privileged to be apart of her wedding ceremony and reception!

Cathy had her dress made especially for her. She said it looks like the dress from My Fair Lady. It is a beautiful dress.

This is the Christmas Tree inside the Joseph Smith Bldg. There was 3 other wedding receptions taking place that same day. A lot of brides and grooms and family's taking wedding pictures that day. I had a blast just watching it all take place.

Hey now on to the family party's. First was the Wright family party. We went to Danene's home Dave's sister. Breken did pretty good with all these people he has never seen and also being around all these people. a bit over whelming for him at times but he did good.

Danene had a game for the kids that all could play. From the oldest to the youngest. It involved candy!!!!

Its been a very long time since we have been in Utah to celebrate Christmas so it was really fun to gather and have fun eating and visiting with cousin again.

Now on to the Roskelley family party!! This is the next day on Sunday. We went to my Twin brothers home David and Suzanne (*susan*). More food and fun.

Suzanne made meatball, sausage, potatoes and yams, and ham. Great food! So good I got the recipes from her and we made the same thing for Christmas Eve at my house!

It was my niece Kami's birthday that day. December 19. So we got to sing her Happy Birthday! I was 12 when she was born. I remember it well.

Now this is the best. Avery watching over Breken while he is sleeping on the bed! She is a crack up. Love that girl! She took good care of him for Jaylyn! We had a blast in our fast and furious trip to Utah. Made fun memories and enjoyed our families.

Gather Around

Life just stops when the B-rek comes for a visit! We all gather to play with him! I know my blog is a lot of him, but he is stinkin cute and fun!! He has his Uncles that adore him and love to play with him! Auntie Jancia and Uncle Cam are going to have fun with him when they come for Christmas.
