Dearest PANO Community,

Thank you. As we said at the Wrap Party — the best thing about PANO is, and has always been, the people. YOU are what make this a special organization, and you are who will continue the work into the next decade and beyond!

Though PANO is closing its doors, the impact we’ve had and the community we’ve built doesn’t go away. We know that you will continue hiring and inspiring each other, long after PANO has faded from memory.

Our final request - Carry the values and ethos of PANO with you as you move through your career. Remember what we’ve built here, and as you advance, reach back and help the next generation of filmmakers, so that we may leave this industry better than we found it.

At the end of 2024, PANO announced the 8 winners of our fifth round of Microgrants to support projects or professional development for PANO members, powered by @nanluxamericas!

This round, we increased the grants from $500 to $1000 to better support our community in these changing times. In addition to the six $1000 cash grants, PANO has partnered up with @thembsgroupofficial to offer one in-kind Equipment Grant (valued at up to $3,000) for a one-time equipment rental for up to one week in Los Angeles and with @patdanbow & @bowman_pictures to offer a Color Grading Grant (valued at $5,000) for one short film.

October 14th is PANO’s 10th Anniversary! 10 years ago, we had our first meetup as NYC Women Filmmakers in Chinatown in NYC. At the time, we were just a small group of like-minded filmmakers chatting over pizza looking to combat the gender disparity in the industry. Now we are thousands of members that have been able to connect, support and amplify underrepresented creators worldwide!
