mon quilt, reproduction d’un quilt militaire anglais du XIXe siècle, selectionné pour l’édition 2025 des Quilts de Légende organisé par France Patchwork. Il m’avait demandé beaucoup de travail. eh bien, voilà une « petite » récompense (Message de France Patchwork ) :

Le prix du public a remporté un vif succès lors du Carrefour Européen du Patchwork. C’est le quilt de France Aubert, Military quilt, qui a remporté ce prix, à titre honorifique. Bien cordialement. ….

my quilt, reproduction of an English military quilt from the 19th century, selected for the 2025 edition of the Quilts de Légende organized by France Patchwork. He had asked me for a lot of work. well, here is a ‘small’ reward (Message from France Patchwork):

Quilt réalisé entièrement à la main en tissus unis de la collection Bella Solids de Moda. J’ai agrandi le modèle (200 x 200cm) et dessiné chaque bloc à l’identique. J’ai repris les couleurs originales, rouge, noir, blanc, vert, ocre doré, bleu et violet qui sont les couleurs des uniformes des Coldstream Guards, troupes personnelles de sa Majesté la Reine depuis 1650.
Quilt made entirely by hand in solid fabrics from the Bella Solids collection by Moda. I enlarged the model (79 x 79″) and drew each block identically. I used the original colors, red, black, white, green, golden ocher, blue and purple which are the colors of the uniforms of the Coldstream Guards, personal troops of Her Majesty the Queen since 1650.

De retour du Carrefour Européen du Patchwork
De retour du Carrefour Européen du Patchwork, et c’était absolument formidable ! Mes quilts ont enfin retrouvé le chemin de la maison… même si j’en ai bien trop (ou peut-être jamais assez ?) ! Mon inspiration est plus forte que jamais et ma créativité reste en effervescence. Avec l’hiver qui approche, c’est aussi le moment idéal pour me plonger dans le quilting afin de finaliser tous mes ouvrages en cours… enfin, si je ne commence pas encore de nouveaux projets avant !
Back from the European Patchwork Meeting, and it was absolutely amazing! My quilts have finally made their way back home… even though I have way too many (or maybe not enough?). My inspiration is stronger than ever, and my creativity is buzzing with energy. With winter approaching, it’s also the perfect time to dive into quilting to finish all my works in progress…unless I start new projects first! !
