Unfortunately, for security reasons, Passpack cannot recover a lost or forgotten PackingKey to a main admin account. The Packing Key is the unique User-Defined encryption key that keeps the user's information highly secure. Passpack and its employees do not have access to customer Packing Keys to ensure security and privacy. Please keep your Packing Key private, safe, and secure. A Date Recovery Kit can be downloaded from the app. This should be stored in a very safe location, such as a private safe.
Yes, the administrator can recover a Team Member's account Packing Key so they can regain access to their account. The Team Member Packing Key is retrieved from the License Manager in the administrator's account. Yes, Passpack does support a complete multi-administrator structure for larger organizations. This is a Business plan feature that requires an upgrade from the Teams plan. Once multi-administrator is enabled, the organization's owner can appoint as many administrators as needed. The appointed administrators have complete control and visibility of Password access to the organization. The feature is handy for offloading a central administrator's workload and distributing responsibility. Yes, Passpack can generate a wide range of Team Member activity reports for administrators. The reports include details such as Password utilization, Team Member login activity, and Password access. As well as Team member password utilization, password utilization across the entire organization, and more. Passpack can customize reports for specific customer requirements if required. Passpack embodies the Zero Knowledge Security Model, providing the highest level of security and privacy. When setting up a Passpack account, each user will be asked to define a unique, secure Packing (encryption) Key using the AES-256-GCM advanced encryption standard. Decryption of passwords and credentials occurs only locally on the end user's device, never in the cloud or on Passpack servers. No one has access to data stored in a Passpack vault except the account owner.
