About

This website showcases all my creative projects as I complete them. It also has my personal blog where I write out anything I find interesting that doesn’t fit on True Generalist.

Background

I’ve always been equal parts analytical and creative. I’ve often enjoyed work that predominantly engages one side (like studying physics) or the other (like drawing), but I’m at my best when I do work that requires both. That’s why I love things like digital art and app/game development.

On top of that, I’m a generalist. I’m pretty sure I’m the the most generalist out of anyone I know. I have many hobbies, and my interest in each of them is simply too deep and sincere to ignore. I won’t give up my art, or playing the drums, or coding, or writing, or cooking, or trading. After five years I managed to grow out of parkour, but I replaced it with a redoubled commitment to lifting, and later Muay Thai. I managed to take a break from learning Italian after two years of studying, but I know I’ll get back into it when I plan my next trip.

I work full-time as a Content Developer for Microsoft—I write tutorial content on learn.microsoft.com for developers who use our AI services. It’s a very fitting job for a generalist.

It can be challenging to fit everything neatly into my life. That’s why productivity and lifestyle structure have become so important to me, and why a lot of my writing is about these things. Some of my tech projects, too, are about creating unobtrusive tools that help me organize and optimize my time.

The rest of my writing is mostly analytic philosophy. I write out ideas and models that I’ve found to be practically useful, incorporating what I’ve learned from reading philosophy, history, and psychology, and my personal experiences. I don’t think being pragmatic should prevent you from engaging with big, lofty ideas. Their integration can be beautiful.
