How Do I Participate?

1. Register for Your Courses: The Bookstore prepares your materials and the per credit hour program fee is charged. Note – PCCC Access excludes Nursing courses (NUR 101, 102, 201, 202, 203, and 195).

2. Review Email with Instructions: You will receive an email from Follett about how to get your required course materials. If your books/materials are digital, you will receive an email with a link to the materials. If you are receiving print (physical) materials, you will receive a separate email confirming books/materials are ready for pickup at the College bookstore.

3. Participate or Opt Out: If you want to participate, there is nothing more you need to do – you are automatically enrolled! If you are taking OER courses – or want to get books of your own – PCCC Access may not be right for you. Therefore, you can opt out of the program (OPT OUT HERE). See opt-out deadlines on this webpage. If you opt out of PCCC Access, you are responsible for getting your own required course books and materials.

  • PCCC Access works to provide you with affordable, convenient material access.
  • Digital materials become available as courses are added.
  • You must opt out of PCCC Access for the fee to be removed.
  • If you opt out of PCCC Access, you are responsible for getting your own materials.
  • Students must opt out by the opt-out deadline for each term.
  • There is no penalty to opt out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I opted-out by mistake or changed my mind? 

If the opt-out period has not ended, you can opt back in by using the opt-out form and choosing “Opt-In”.

Can I opt out of one course but not another?

No. If you opt out, you are doing so for ALL courses in that term. You are then responsible to get the required books/materials on your own.
