Megan Heine is currently a Senior Curriculum Specialist with Imagine Learning, specializing in the core math product, Imagine Learning Illustrative Mathematics.

Megan is a former high school math teacher in Iowa.  Megan started in the classroom as a student teacher in 1997.  She spent time in data analysis in the corporate setting during the transition to Y2K, and returned to the math classroom after spending time with her children.

Megan has taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2,  Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Probability and Statistics.  She has also served as an instructional coach.

Megan received her Master’s of Educational Technology from Boise State University in December 2016 and passionately transformed her classroom through personalized learning, utilizing technology to aide in conceptual understanding, problem solving, skill practice, and student creations.  She has been on a relentless pursuit to be better every day.

During the pandemic, Megan returned to graduate classes at Colorado State University – Global to obtain her 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics to teach community college math classes and dual-enrollment courses through the local high schools.

Megan lives in Iowa with her husband, Tim.  They have 3 children, Kate, Emma, and Grant.  Megan enjoys working out, reading, and attending her children’s activities.  She is passionate, intense, and fanatical about life, sucking every ounce of living out this crazy life of a teacher, wife, mother, daughter, and sister.
