Past the twelve days of Christmas, a warm winter has brought me one purple January crocus in the front yard. An early sign welcoming the distant sight of summer dresses and flips flops...despite the wave of Uggs and scarves and gloves at Penn.

Well, happy new crocus...I have been gone too long, my friends.
