Born from a refusal to accept the status quo.
For years, we watched clients struggle with security firms that claimed expertise in everything but mastered nothing in depth. The deliverables checked the boxes on paper, but consistently fell short where it mattered: generic reports, surface-level findings, and critical vulnerabilities missed entirely.
The DNA of Penthertz is the opposite: our mission is to genuinely improve our clients' security, not to pad reports with volume. We focus on what we do best: wireless & hardware security.
In 2020, Sébastien Dudek founded a company that embodied these values: specialized exclusively in wireless and hardware security, with a dominant focus on radio communications. Not a firm that does a bit of everything, but one that does one thing exceptionally well — and does it with the right mindset. What started during the COVID pandemic has grown into a recognized authority serving defense agencies, aerospace manufacturers, and critical infrastructure providers across Europe, the US, and Asia.
Penthertz is 100% independent. The company was founded with personal time and financing: no banks, no investors, no sponsors, no external actors. We do not depend on any financial party, and we are not maintained by any public funding. Penthertz is entirely private — a boutique firm by design.
Every client matters. Every project gets our full attention and we personally invest in the success of each mission.
Penthertz specializes in the security of radio communications and hardware systems, covering the full spectrum of wireless technologies.
From 2G legacy systems to the latest 5G SA core and Open RAN architectures — including baseband fuzzing, protocol-level testing, and core network intrusion assessment.
Using custom toolchains and our open-source RF Swift toolkit for signal analysis, protocol testing, and comprehensive wireless security audits.
RFID/NFC cloning, alarm system bypassing, intercom exploitation, and Red Team RF operations — testing the physical security perimeter through wireless vectors.
Hardware attacks, firmware reverse engineering, fuzzing, and security mechanism analysis on embedded systems and IoT devices across industrial and consumer sectors.
LoRa/LoRaWAN, Zigbee, Z-Wave, Bluetooth/BLE, and other wireless protocols — assessing the growing attack surface of connected devices and sensor networks.
HomePlug AV, EV charging station protocols, and V2G interfaces — pioneering security research on data transmission through power lines.
And many more custom services tailored to your specific needs.
The results of our research are shared openly through publications and open-source tools — because we believe advancing the field benefits everyone.
Sébastien Dudek is a security researcher with over 15 years of experience in software and hardware security. His passion for understanding how radio communication systems can be broken, and how to protect them has driven his entire career.
After graduating from EFREI Paris, a French engineering school in digital technologies, Sébastien built his expertise through some of France's most respected security firms:
Throughout these roles, Sébastien developed a deep specialization in radio frequency security from dissecting cellular baseband firmware to discovering vulnerabilities in power-line communication protocols used in electric vehicle charging stations, but also tackling most exotic communications and devices.
In a market full of generalist firms that spread thin across every security domain, Penthertz chose a different path: and do it better than anyone.
Exclusive focus on wireless & hardware security. Every engagement benefits from years of deep, specialized research — not recycled methodologies borrowed from other domains.
100% self-funded with no investors, shareholders, or sponsors. Our only allegiance is to technical excellence and our clients' security — no external influence, ever.
69+ publications, CVE discoveries, and presentations at major security conferences worldwide. Our methodologies are continuously refined and peer-reviewed by the global community.
We share our work through open-source tools like RF Swift, published research, and certified training programs — because advancing the field benefits everyone, including our clients.
