Planting Water, Growing Communities
Permatil is leading the way in water restoration and catchment management across Timor-Leste. Our unique watershed management systems are redefining how water catchments and water sources can be restored abundantly across the country.
Improving local access to clean, abundant water-sources
(~ 20 million litres clean water returned to the water table every year)

Permaculture in schools’ program – curriculum and living laboratories
The Permaculture in Schools program teaches primary and middle school students how to grow food, conserve water, and care for the environment. With over 240 school gardens now established across Timor-Leste, more than 41,000 students are directly benefiting. Children take these skills back to their families and communities, creating lasting change.
Permatil continue to influence the national curriculum, working closely with the Ministry of Education to develop the primary and middle-school social science curriculum and school readers. Together with the government, Permatil are growing a resilient future for Timor-Leste.
