Julia is 13!

Our little girl is a teenager!

She started the day with birthday cake pancakes.  This is what they looked like on the internet.

 

Ours looked less fancy, but they were still delicious.

She had to open presents before school so she could wear her new shoes. 

All in all, it was a very pink birthday.

Halloween 2011

Finally, on the afternoon of Halloween, we had time to carve our pumpkins.

Pink Sparkly Toms

Julia's number one item on her birthday list is pink sparkly Toms.  We were at the mall so she just wanted to try them on.  Of course they had just the ones she wanted, so why not just buy them now?  Then we won't have to worry about it when it actually is her birthday in 3 weeks.

This girl has always had trouble waiting for her birthday.  Anyone remember her 4th birthday? 

Boo in the box was quite famous by the time the big day finally rolled around.

Yosemite and Twain Harte

The kids had no school on Friday, so it was perfect timing for a trip to Twain Harte.  We spent the first day in Yosemite.
