i've just moved my site (http://www.brindy.org.uk/runecaster/) to my personal linux machine (redhat 9) and now strtotime fails when someone enters a date earlier than jan 1, 1970. this is documented here:

but does anyone know a nice way round this, it's a bit of a bugger. :(
