Alright, I seriously need help. Hi, by the way. :)

I am trying to make a webpage that has links on the left side and a blog on the right side. I would like the links on the left side to show up in the blog area (clearing it) after being clicked. I viewed a friend's source on her page to see if I could get ideas and it was all PHP. Could anyone take the time to IM me sometime and help me out? I'd really appreciate this because I've never dealt with PHP before and my webpage is in shambles. Thanks so much!
