mysql contact list/database
I've been given charge of a fairly large (9.000 strong) database of contacts for a Junior golf tour. it contains emails, phone numbers, names, addresses, and other information on three seperate types of contacts (media( press contacts), members (kids), and golf pros)
It's currently in a ACT! database, that really sucks. they use the 4.0 version of that software, and it is bug ridden as far as I can tell.
My first idea was to build a mysql/php database/frontend program, so that we could edit/add/view all the records from anywhere that has internet access (ie www.their-site.com/admin/contacts or whatever)
does anyone have any other ideas, or suggestions? this is my first time making this sort of decision.
