Hello I am new to the community and to PHP as well.
I'm not too keen on programming strength, having only really good html knowledge, basic unix familiarity and a semester's worth of Java. But still I have heard many good things about PHP and am very interested in seeing, learning, doing more.

That said, could anyone recommend websites or books with introductions/primers/tutorials for the beginner php user?
