Mods/hacks and other edits
What mods/hacks, add-onds, edits, etc. do you always tend to install in your phpBBs?
By default, I usually install:
- announcement box on the index, as I find it helps quite a bit in having stuff like site guidelines out in everybody's faces
- admin userlist
- enabling moderators to see invisible members
- removal of COPPA requirements; I've yet to ever have an American under the age of 13 join any of my messageboards anyway...
- addition of [center], [sub] and [sup] to the BBcode
- removal of post-counts from the thread view; I keep it still viewable from the person's profile, but I find getting rid of the in-thread post-counts alieviates a lot of post-races
