Holy crap, long time no post.

Hmm, major change? Oh, college! Woo! I'm going to and living at WSU (Washington State University). I'm an AS250 in AFROTC. Computer Science major. Computer Engineering minor (or possibly double major). Aviation minor. Arnold Air Society member. IEEE member. And pending this upcoming tryout, hopefully an intercollegiate bowler. Slight change from my sit-on-my-ass-all-day schedule, but I'm freakin loving it lol

Anyways, gotta go, Cal is about to get a beating from WSU. Go Cougs!

Edit: :(

So today (well, I guess it last night now) was the first day of my PBA experience league.

I got owned real bad. It was a random one on one match and, with my luck, I got stuck against someone who averages 227 and has bowled PBA before. It was one of my old teammate's dad though, so he was cool. I never knew he was a bowler before though, especially not a 220+ average bowler.

We rolled the Cameleon pattern tonight. I was kinda disappointed, it was pretty easy to read and adjust. Well, at first at least. Next week they are gunna lay down the Shark, which I hear is the hardest. So yeah, should be fun.

Anyways, wish I had something interesting to update about. Later.

Meh, headache and trying to sleep just don't mix for me. Asprin didn't do anything for me but make my stomach growl alot. And that doesn't help me sleep either. I'll just sit in a dark room with a bright computer screen in front of me till it goes away...

Saturday league ended today (well, yesterday). They were giving out awards for 120 games to some people. I've bowled 250s and I didn't get an award this whole season. No 240 award, no 650 award, nothing. Oh well. I got to destroy some 10 year old kid in a tournament, that's award enough for me. My 9 pin league abandoned me for varius reason, so that whole thing kinda went though. I do get to start the PBA experience league soon though. Good times.

Umm, well, I'm gunna go get a 2am snack and try and get some sleep.

Mmm, been a while, hasn't it?

Long friggin day (what's new?). Left for class at 5am, back at 7pm. Only 8 and I'm already getting tired. Feel like some old guy...

Well, today the FAA database has finally recognized me as a Private Pilot. That only took a month after I actually was one. Oh well, that means my perm license is on the way. Sick of this paper temp one.

I went to the FBO across the field (FBOs are places that rent out planes, sell fuel and other piloty things) and checked out how much they cost to rent a plane. $137 an hour! That's almost double what my current school charges for a Cessna 172. What a rip. Guess you guys will have to wait till I get into the Ft. Lewis flying club to ride with me. Too bad school policy wont let me take anyone else up.

Instrument training is going slow as ever. One flight a week for about a month. Can't wait to start approaches though. I did get my $250 Jeppesen enroute kit though. Expensive, but worth it.

Oh, and I get to do some spin training next week (Doing it more for fun then anything else :p It's not required until I go for CFI). That's where we stall the plane and drop a wing to make the plane rotate around as we fall through the sky. Gunna be fun.

Umm, I guess that about covers it.

Fly safe.

So we went to the game last night (Green Bay at Seattle).

Bad game, Packers lost.

It snowed like crazy during the game.

Horrible drive back. We left at 9:30PM Monday and got home 5:00AM today (it's normally a one hour drive). The roads were completely iced over (about an inch) and we didn't break 10mph the whole way home. South I-5 was practically a huge parking lot and people were driving into ditches and running out of gas all over the road, we kept having to drive around stalled cars. People weren't even in real lanes, it was like a free for all. So that just sucked. I've never seen road conditions so bad, not even in Colorado.

K, well, I just woke up, so breakfast at 2:20PM.

So, after 4 weeks of vacation and 3 states, I'm finally back to playing in the clouds. I thought I'd forget a few things and take a little to get back into flying, but I guess this stuff is engraved in my brain. Anyways, tomorrow I'm flying to Hoquiam, getting a milk shake, then flying to Ocean Shore and eating it on the beach. I gota take you guys and do that when I can carry passengers (if any of you are brave enough to fly in a plane I'm flying).

Anywho, the new semester started today, and each semester, my flight school gets a new class of "newbies". Normally, each class is about 8-10 people, and seeing how our class rooms have 10 seats, this works great. Today, I show up, and there are 22 friggin newbies. It was crazy. The pilot lounge was completely filled with newbies, then when they went into ground school, some guys had to stand. This is bad for me since each CFI (flight instructor) will get about 4 new students, so getting time in a plane and/or with a CFI will be harder. Oh well, I almost have my license, so it's okay.

What else? Oh ya, I have to go in to school at 6am now, which really blows since last semester I didn't go in till noon. I guess it will be better though, all the newbies come in at noon, so it will be easier to get a plane in the morning and the planes preform better then it's cold outside. But still, 6 friggin AM.

I got 2 free bowling balls and have over a 200 average in league this year, not that any of you would care though. Umm, I think that's about it.

Ever since 9/11/01, the TSA (Transportation Safety Ass-holes) had the brilliant idea that "Terrorists who are no longer able to hijack commercial airliners because of increased security at commercial airports may turn to GA airports and aircraft to conduct operations." Now, when ever the prez visits somewhere, the TSA puts up a 30 mile wide no-fly zone around him. Great idea guys, save the chief from something that would break to pieces before it could get through a brick wall.

Anyways, I found this video. You'd probably have to be in the general aviation community to find it funny though.
