New Blog

New bloG.
   I thought this would never happen to me. I have used up all of my free space on blogger! I have created another blog just so I can get some pictures of of the kids, but does anyone know away around having to pay a monthly fee for more space? like can I export my old stuff to make more room for new stuff?  anyways I can't figure out how to make my new blog cute the whole system is different :(    I did however get a cute video of Knoxx up so go and check it out.   www.ipickfishing.blogspot.com  there is a link to it on the top left of this page

rain rain go away

never underestimate mother nature. we had quite a flooding scare this last thursday.   we have this really cool flood lake behind or house. I knew it was for flood water but couldn't even imagine how there could be that much water at one time to fill it up. well I learned.  the picutre is a little hard to see but on the far side of the lake there is a little gray/brown line of garbage. the water level in our lake was about three feet above that! 

 In this picture below the water was to the top of the two trees that are the furthest away.  It had been raining for about three days and the lake had flooded up to it's usual level and then on thursday it just wouldn't stop.

we were worried we had missed a hurricane warning or something so john asked suri (iphone robot) what the weather for cypress was supposed to be. she pulled up the 5 day forecast that had every day listed as thunderstorms. and she said "It doesn't look so good for you"   the weather is pretty bad when an app on your phone can tell you that you are in trouble.  at this point we were kicking ourselves for not having flood insurance.   later that night after the rain finally stopped. we got anywhere from 10-15 inches. I turned on the news which i never watch. they had news from the flooding all over and guess where the top stories were from? Mueschke Rd. that is the road on  the other side of these trees. I'm talking people rescued from their homes by boats. holding on to tree trunks so they don't get washed away, cars sinking into the deep water.  we were lucky! that all we got was a flooded lake and a extra deep watering of our lawn. 

our Lawn is a story of it's own. the Friday after the flooding there were two guys trying to mow my neiboors lawn. I asked if they would mow mine too. the man looked at me standing in my shin deep think dark green grass and said. No!     Oh come on it can't be that bad!    well today I mowed it myself and the clippings filled up about 5 garbage bags,  so maybe it was that bad. 

Baby blessing

We blessed Knoxx this last sunday

Some of john's brothers and his parents came in for the blessing. the boys all went Hog hunting Saturday night. 

then on sunday we had the blessing

john gave a very beautiful blessing. we are so blessed to be able to have this very special baby in our family. 

after the blessing we had a really great party at our house. there was a ton of Delicious food that kari helped me make. 

should have taken this before everyone came and ate.

I couldn't keep the girls off of knoxx. 

it was a great weekend with lots of friends and family. 

My sister Emily

   I am doing a blog post about my younger sister Emily for her 23^rd birthday. She did one for me last year and I wanted to do one for her.  Emily is the third oldest girl in my family she right in the middle of the five kids. She has already accomplished so much at much a young age.  She was married in the salt lake temple to her husband David and together they have two adorable boys. 

Asher (2 ½)  And Bridger (10 months)  she was amazing to somehow complete her bachelor degree while balancing being a mother and wife.  Emily is always very energetic and wants to try everything.  If has an idea she wants to try it out.  She has started teaching a Latin Hip hop class to her community.  Dabbled in art, auto mechanics, welding, ballet, sewing, singing.

Emily is very adventurous and she doesn’t let things get in her way. She loves to try new recipes especially healthy ones. She is great at getting to know new people even if they don’t speak the same language.   She has a very loving nature towards her children as well as others children. 

Emily is crafty and fun. She is always a good person to have around if you want to laugh really hard.  she will act silly with you and never cares what other people think.   Happy birthday Em. I love you!
