Body Takeover

AA Hardrock (Jada) is finally getting a body.  She was next to receive one.  I anxiously awaited the Made-To-Move doll in the orange top to come out, because I felt that it would be a great match for her skintone.   I am just getting around to rebodying her.  I found a second MTM (orange top) at Walmart for $11 yesterday so I knew that it was time.  For those of you wanting to know, it is a "perfect" match.  I knew that there was going to be drama with Jada because I made her wait so long while the dolls with a darker hue than hers received their bodies instantaneously.  I was able to find the MTM AA at Walmart for like $3.00 so I bought all that they had.  I had to pay full price for orange top.

Last doll related purchase in 2016

I finally found him at Target for $9.99.  The purse

keychain was on clearance for $3.98.

First doll related purchase in 2017

The sweater was $0.99 at Walgreens.  The doll

was $11 at Walmart and the fashions were $5 at Walmart as well.

I really like the dresses.

Tokidoki Inspired OOAK

I want to share with you all an OOAK that I created for my very dear friend for her 50th Birthday.  I wanted to make this one an extra special day for her because I remembered how turning 50 for me was totally awesome!  I didn't do anything extravagant, but I had a "pamper me" girls weekend with most of my closes friends.  We spent the entire extended weekend doing things such as...massages, nails salon, breakfast, lunch, dinner, party, party, party, etc.  It was so full of living, love, and laughter!

She is Tokidoki inspired, created by Diva Designs by Vickey.  I had the most fun creating her.

Here she is MY version of Tokidoki....

  

This is how she began.

I gave her rooted eyelashes, partial repaint (lips)

flocked her hair and added tattoo and jewels to her body.

Her entire outfit was purchased from eBay.

Atlanta Doll Collectors Show and Sale

Phyllis of A Day In The Life of My Dolls hosted a giveaway a few weeks ago for ..check this out HER birthday...what a sweetheart!  She gave away three dolls and I was the very lucky winner of the 2nd giveaway!  Yes!  I chose the curvy girl.  She has been on my wish list for some time.  I had not see her in any of my stores but I continued to keep hope alive that she would show up one day....

Today was the day!!  Thanks again Phyllis for making a wish come true.  I love love my curvy girls!
