So...I don't post here anymore.
I haven't defected to Dreamwidth (well, I sort of have, but I don't post over there either...) I just...mostly can't be bothered?
I use this LJ mostly for reading fic in various fandoms. And commenting, when I remember.
...yeah, that's all.

O HAI!
Just a reminder that I'm using filters now and don't make many public entries. If you haven't opted in on any filters, you probably haven't seen any entries in quite a while. I'm not dead! I still don't post all that often, but I do post. So. I use the following filters. Feel free to opt in on any of them.
Living - Life, the universe and everything. Real life stuff.
Health - Anything relating to my fluctuating health, although it's standing pretty steady at 'not too bad' right now... *touches wood*
Writing - I don't make a whole lot of posts to this filter, but as an aspiring writer I do kind of need this filter. Anything relating to writing projects I'm working on - fanfiction or otherwise - goes here.
Bandom - Relating to the (people in the) bands that I love (i.e. My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, Cobra Starship, The Academy Is..., Fall Out Boy, and more as I discover them...), these posts are usually full of squee and babble and not much else. Probably not that interesting to those who don't care for my kind of music.
Resins - The filter is for those who actually care about the dolls (ABJDs) that I collect and/or want to see pretty pictures of them. Or bad pictures. Whatevs.

The Best Sound in the World Artwork
tragicity has illustrated my story with a number of pieces. They're amazing! I'm so happy with them. Please comment and show your love for this amazing work!
The Best Sound in the World
Bands: Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy
Pairings: Ryan/Brendon, Spencer/Jon, Pete/Patrick, Ryan/Pete
Word Count: 20,400
Summary: When you work in retail in a quiet shopping centre, there's not a whole lot to do except gossip and fall in love. Luckily, the latter provides the former, especially when there's a love hexagon involved.
Rating: PG
Author Notes: Written and betad by Aussies. I make no apologies for spelling colour with a 'u' or realise with an 's', though I have tried to use American phrasing. Many thanks to Dee and
shaula82 for the beta work.

( It’s never possible for all of them to have lunch together, which Pete moans about, but Patrick is secretly quite grateful for.Collapse )

I just did a small flist cull. Mostly I stopped watching most communities.
This is because I haven't checked my flist in over a month. Possibly closer to two.
The reason for that is that every morning when I would check my flist I would have 2-4 pages of entries to catch up on. Keeping in mind that anywhere from 25-75% of these entries would be fic (a lot of which I'd want to read right there and then) I was spending way too much time going through my flist every day.
So.
Now I'll just click onto the communities every now and then and make space for actual people.
I've cut a few people from my flist but these were mostly people who didn't have me friended back anyway, or who hadn't updated in over a year. If you're one of the later and are offended by the culling, let me know and I'll add you back. It's not like you were one of the ones congesting my friends pages.
I may do further culling in the future. Over the last few years I've changed a lot and so have my interests and the same goes for everyone. We might not have much in common anymore. I might not be interested in your entries anymore. That doesn't mean I hate you or don't care about you, it just means you're not on my list of priorities. Feel free to hit me up on IMs if you want to chat and catch up, but I don't really need to be on your LJ.
So. Hopefully I'll actually start reading my flist again and I'll actually know what's going on in your lives!
